✉ SEYCHELLES. 1889. Envelope to FRANCE bearing Mauritius 16 cent brown (SG 109) tied by B64 obliterator with adjacent SEYCHELLES cds and octagonal French paquebot LIGNE T. PAQ. FR. Nº 6 (Salles 2142) datestamp with LYON arrival on reverse. A fine and rare item.

✉ MALAYA. 1881. SINGAPORE to MARSEILLE. Envelope franked 35c. Sage, cancelled LIGNE N. PAQ. FR. No.3 cds on board the ss ´Yangtse´ en route Colombo to Singapore. Addressed to MARSEILLE. Off-loaded Singapore and placed aboard the P.O. ´Rosetta´. Transferred at Alexandria to the ´Bangalore´ for Brindisi and thence by rail to destination. On the back SINGAPORE/PAID cds. and MARSEILLE cds. RARE.

✉ AFRICA DEL SUR. Sg. 30, 37. 1881 (July 30). Registered cover to LONDON franked by extraordinary usage of twelve ´3´ on 3d. pale dull rose provisionals and single 4d. blue all tied in black with GRAAFF REINERT cds below. REGISTERED LETTER OFFICE-CAPE TOWN cds in black and London arrival in red on front (Aug 22). Minor trim to envelope but rare.

Registered cover addressed from JOHANNESBURG to the British Cosulate in MESEHD (Persia) franked by 1900 VRI 2 1/2d. dull blue & green (2) and ERI 1d. carmine & green with ERI Half Penny on 2d. brown & green all tied in black. Reverse with Durban cds. (Nov. 15), Tabriz cds. (23/12) and Meched arrival cds. Re-addressed to LONDON with Teheran and Ispahan cds. (30/1), Russian BAKU cds. (29/1, j) and eventual London arrivals (Feb. 19, 1902). A fine and most unusual cover.

✉ TRINIDAD. 1806 (Aug 8). FRENCH OCCUPATION. Entire letter from TRINIDAD during the Napoleonic Wars to BRIGNOLLES, France datelined inside ´Isle de Trinité, 8 Aout 1806´ and struck on arrival with COLONIES PAR/BORDEAUX in black and charged 12 decimes due. A rare and interesting entire. Trinidad was awarded to Britain after the Treaty of Amiens at the end of the War.

Cover endorsed ´Via Panama´ addressed to ´Admiral Cochrane, Commander in Chief, Pacific Station´ ( located in Valparaiso) franked by (1d.) carmine and 4d. grey cancelled by Trinidad cds in black. Cover then docketed (at Panama ?) and noted as for ´Ship Repulse´. Reverse with St. Thomas transit cds (Sept 2) and manuscript ´4´ (pence) of split rate. A very rare and appealing cover. Ex collection Sir John Marriott.

✉ ZANZIBAR. 1893. Use of British India 1/4a postal card, uprated with 1a violet Victoria issue, from ZANZIBAR to GERMANY. Stamps cancelled by squared circle ZANZIBAR datestamps and front shows ADEN transit and KIEL arrival datestamp. A very fine and scarce use of this card.

Carta completa franqueada con sellos italianos de 20 cts. azul y 40 cts. rosa preparada para ser embarcada en el buque italiano ´Paranormos´, en última instancia la carta fue embarcada en el buque francés ´Bizantin´. Tasada a la llegada con ´10´ décimas. Al dorso fechador de MARSEILLE y marca PURIFIEE AMPRESILLE en azul. MUY INTERESANTE.
