Soler y Llach was founded by two families closely connected to the world of collecting, Filatelia Llach and Filatelia Soler.
Filatelia Llach was created by Eugeni Llach in late 1915 in Havana. Currently, the third generation ensures undeniable professionalism.
Filatelia Soler was founded in 1975 in Barcelona. The great skill and enthusiasm of brothers Josep and Ramón Soler placed this firm at the forefront of the philatelic sector. In 1989, Mauricio Sisó and the Soler brothers created Áureo, a company specializing in numismatic auctions that quickly gained a leadership position in the coin collecting market.
When Soler y Llach was founded in October 1989 in Barcelona, it specialized in international philatelic auctions.
In 1995, the department of ancient books, manuscripts, engravings, and maps was opened. In February 2001, the first exclusive poster auction in Spain was held, followed by the first exclusive "Cinema Programs" auction in June 2003, and, in March 2006, the first exclusive photography auction.
Subsequently, in 2008, numismatic auctions were added with the collaboration of Martí Hervera, an expert in this field since 1976. Since then, important collections have been auctioned, such as the well-known SCIPIO and PLVS VLTRA in October 2021.
Since 2018, Soler y Llach has been part of the Bolaffi Auction Group, with its headquarters located in the central offices of Aste Bolaffi in the heart of Turin, and it also has a branch in the United Kingdom with Harmers of London.
Currently, the company has the privilege of having extensive knowledge and experience in the marketing of collectibles such as Philately, Postal History, Numismatics, Notaphily, Ancient Books, Manuscripts, Maps, Engravings, Posters, Cinema Programs, Postcards, and Photographs. Our catalogs are proof of this, and you can find them in the sections of upcoming auctions, past auctions and available lots, or in our historical auctions.
