Cover from ROME to KONIGGRATZ (Bohemia) carried at double weight, franked by 1867 80c. rose (2) and 1868 perf. 20c. red and 40c. yellow tied by diamond grid with ASSICURATA handstamp in black and French CHARGE handstamp in red. Blue 'St. Michel' entry marking (April 5) also on obverse of a fine mixed issue three colour franking to an unusual destination. Certs. A. DIENA and BOLAFFI. ✉ TUNEZ. Mi. 39, 41, 42. 1872. Cover from TUNIS to ATHENS sent unpaid, struck with fine TUNISI / POSTE ITALIANE datestamp on despatch (Sept 13) in black. Italic 'coi Postali Italiani' in black at top and franked on arrival with Large Hermes 5l. green on greenish, 20l. blue and 40l. rosy mauve on blued paper all tied by ATHENS cds's. Reverse with transits of Cagliari, Brindisi (Sept 22) and Athens cds. A fine and RARE usage.

✉ TUNEZ. 1876 (23 Oct.). TÚNEZ a GÉNOVA. 5 cts. gris verde (2) y 10 cts. ocre en pareja, un sello ÁNGULO IZQUIERDO SIN RETOCAR. Mat. de puntos 235 y fechador TUNISI/POSTA ITALIANA. Marca lineal COI POSTALI ITALIANI. De un total de seis cartas que se conocen con esta variedad, tres son de Túnez. RARÍSIMA.

✉ TUNEZ. 1882. LA GOLETTA a NÁPOLES. 5 cts. gris verde, bloque de cuatro, un sello esquina redondeada. Mat. circular 3336 y fechador LA GOLETTA/TUNISI. Pieza RARÍSIMA, el bloque de cuatro del 5 cts. verde de ESTERO sobre carta es rarísimo (Sassone 27.500Ђ). Carta considerada como la más importante del correo italiano en LA GOLETTA. Cert. A. DIENA.

✉ JAPON. Ce. 35, 60. 1874 (Sept 12). Mourning cover and contents from NAGASAKI to LYON (France) written on board of a French ship "relating" a trip from Japan. The cover is posted at Shanghai and franked by 1871/75 Ceres 5c. green on greenish and 25c. blue in a strip of five, all tied by 5104 gros chiffres with fine SHANG-HAI / CHINE cds below. Brindisi / Modane transit on front in red and reverse with Lyon arrival cds (Nov 7). A RARE and appealing entire.

✉ JAPON. 1897. NAGASAKI to U.S.A. 5 sen blue, taxed on arrival with U.S.A. 5 cents red stamp (fault).

✉ JAPON. 1899. GREAT BRITAIN to KOBE (Japan). Underpaid with Great Britain 1 d. lilac, black DUE 12. On back rice paper redirecting labels and 10 sen bistre, 2 sen red in Postage Due stamps. Fascinating and RARE cover.

✉ JAPON. 1900. JAPAN to GIBRALTAR. 10 sen blue redirected to CHAMONIX (France) with Gibraltar 1/2 p. green and 1 p. red stamps. RARE franking combination.

✉ COREA. Sc. 18, 19, 20B, 22, 23. 1900 (Sept 6). Registered cover from SEOUL to TOKYO, multi-franked on front and back with 1900 2re. grey, 1ch. green, 2ch. pale blue, 4ch. rose and 5ch. pink all tied by SEOUL cds's in black. Fine strike of framed SEOUL registration cachet in red. Addressee unfound on arrival and envelope with Postman's rags on front. A scarce cover.

✉ MEXICO. Sc. 7, 8 (3). 1862. MÉXICO a PUEBLA. 1 real negro s. verde y 2 reales negro (3).

✉ MEXICO. Sc. 12. 1863. MÉXICO a VERACRUZ. 8 reales verde s. castaño. Magnífico y raro sello en carta.

✉ MEXICO. Sc. 100, 101. 1872. MÉXICO a ESPAÑA. 12 ctvos. azul y 25 ctvos. rojo, circulada vía Londres. Tasada a la llegada con 8 reales. MAGNÍFICA.

✉ MEXICO. 1872. TAMPICO a VERACRUZ. Circulada con sello mexicano de 12 ctvos. azul. Mat. ovalado FRANCO EN TAMPICO y sello británico de 4p. naranja. Mat. C 63 de la B.P.O. en Tampico. En el frente fechador de Doble Círculo también de TAMPICO. Doblez de archivo que afecta al sello británico de 4 p.

✉ MEXICO. 1878. GUAYMAS a SAN FRANCISCO. Fechador ovalado FRANCO EN GUAYMAS indicando el pago de franqueo en origen. A la llegada tasado con 3 ctvos. pagados con sello U.S.A. de 3 ctvos. verde. Fechador de entrada SAN FRANCISCO/ST. SHIP. RARA combinación de franqueo. Ex Schimmer.

✉ MEXICO. Sc. 167, 174 (2), 175, 176, 179, 182. 1889. MÉXICO a PARÍS. Carta certificada, espectacular franqueo en anverso y reverso. RARO.

✉ MEXICO. 1890. MÉXICO a NEW YORK. Sobre de 5 ctvos. azul EXPRESS WELLS FARGO con franqueo adicional U.S.A. de 1 ctvo. azul (2), puestos a la llegada. Muy bonito.

✉ MEXICO. 1893. FRESNILLO a ZACATECAS. Sobre circulado con sello de 4 reales castaño de la emisión de Hidalgo de 1864!!! evidentemente fuera de fecha y con sello fuera de uso, aún así pieza muy interesante y verdaderamente circulada, al dorso llegada.

✉ MARRUECOS. 1897 (July 16). Gibraltar 10cs. red postal stationery card used to the Italian Agent cancelled by TANGIER / A26 duplex in black, with Moroccan Local Mazagan 10c. rose tied by MAZAGAN cds in violet. British P.O. MAZAGAN / MOROCCO cds obscured by duplex. A fine and scarce combination usage.

✉ HOLANDA. Mi. 1. 1852. VALPARAISO (Chile) to SCHIEDAM. Entire PRICES CURRENT franked by 1852 5c. deep blue, Plate 1, three margins, tied by half round ROTTERDAM datestamp (26/5) in black. Reverse with SCHIEDAM arrival in red. A scarce usage.

✉ INDIA HOLANDESA. 1758 (June 17). Entire letter from ST. EUSTATIUS to MARSEILLE (France) endorsed 'par Paris' at upper left. Complete wax seal on reverse and manuscript '6+3', with manuscript '23' decimes charge of arrival on front. A very fine and early entire, just a year after St. Eustatius was first declared as a 'Freeport'.

✉ INDIA HOLANDESA. 1778 (June 9). Entire letter from ST. EUSTATIUS to BRISTOL, struck on arrival in London with 'AU/4' Bishop mark in black displaying well on flap, with manuscript on front '10' (pence) deleted, and further manuscript 'In all 1N2' to pay on receipt. A RARE entire, most especially so to the UK.

✉ SURINAM. 1834. SURINAM to EDIMBURG. Complete letter datalined "Plantn. Inverness Sea Coast Mickne", arrival mark GREENOCK/SHIP LETTER and rated 1/2. Very rare on cover from Surinam.
