Cover from BUENOS AYRES to LONDON franked by rouletted Rivadavia 8c. lake tied by BUENOS AIRES cds of despatch, with un-cancelled Great Britain 1876 6d, grey pl. 15 at left, cancelled by LONDON cds of receipt (April 13) in black. reverse with London (April 15) datestamps in black and in red. A rare and most unusual usage.

Double rate cover from TRIEST to GENOA franked by Machine Paper 1854 3kr. pale red (III) and horizontal strip of three 9kr. blue (MP/III) all tied by TRIEST / Abends datestamps in black. Red 'P.D.' alongside and reverse with Genova arrival (March 18). A fine and scarce cover. Opinion Ferchenbauer (1996).

✉ AUSTRIA. Mi. 34. 1865. Arms 15kr. brown, perf. 9½, a fine block of four used on 1865 cover from VIENNA to VEVEY (Switzerland) tied by RECOMANDIRT-WIEN cds's (Aug 4). Reverse with notations of sender and Vevey arrival cds (Aug 7). A fine and RARE usage of a block of four on letter.

✉ AUSTRIA. Mi. 35+36. 1878. 5kr. red Postal Stationery envelope from CARLSBAD to PARIS, up-rated with 2kr. yellow and 3kr. pale green tied by CARLSBAD cds's (Nov 10) in black. Reverse with Paris arrival cds (Nov 12). A fine and unusual franking.

✉ LEVANTE: CORREO AUSTRIACO. 1894 (Feb. 28). Registered cover to BARBADOS franked by 8pa. on 2kr. brown in a strip of five used with 1pi. on 10kr. blue all tied by BEIRUT / OESTERREICHISCHE POST datestamps in black. Yellow registration label at left and octagonal LIGNE N / PAQ. FR. No. 8 datestamp in black (March 2). Thence via London,  reverse with Barbados arrival cds (March 26). A fine cover to a most unusual destination.

Entire letter to CARIGNAN (France) posted in Namur (red cds at right) and franked by two previously used France 1852 20c. blue, one cancelled in manuscript the other by Belgian '85' numeral handstamp with manuscript Timbre Nuls above and red AFFRANCHISEMENT - 85 - INSUFFISANT. Taxed on arrival with handstruck '40' decimes due in black (July 8). Rare and most interesting entire. Signed Ebel. Cert. P. Kaiser (2011).

Registered cover to addressed to US Consul in LIEGE franked by 1910 5c. black & green, 10c. black & carmine (2) and 25c. black & blue (2) all tied by UVIRA datestamps in black with registration label at left. Reseal Censor at top with CENSURE MILITAIRE cachet on reverse in blue. Readdressed many times to ROTTERDAM and MAASTRICHT (June 7) due to War with black on pink bilingual label stating reason for return from Belgium.

✉ CONGO BELGA. Sg. 103+104. 1922 (Oct. 17). Cover from LUSAMBO to ITALY endorsed 'via Dar Es Salaam' at right, franked by 1922 overprinted 25c. in red on 40c. and 30c. in black on 10c. Reverse with KABINDA transit cds (Oct 23) and Venice arrival cds (Dec 12). An unusual routing and franking.

Milit. Post XI / BANJALUKA cds's in black. Reverse with New York arrival (Oct 8). A fine and RARE cover at 80 kreuzer rate.

Milit. Post XLIV / KLADANJ cds's in black. Straight line RECOM: at base and part Montevideo registration label on front, arrival (Feb 2) on reverse of a RARE cover to a most unusual destination. ✉ CHILE. Sc. 17, 19. 1869. CHILLAN a NEW YORK. 5 ctvos. naranja y 20 ctvos. verde circulada via Panama, tasada a la llegada con 34 ctvos., doblez de archivo vertical que afecta al sello de 5 ctvos. Magnífico y muy raro franqueo.

✉ CHINA. 1842 (Nov. 30th). KOOLONGSOO (Amoy) to JERSEY. Endorsed "Koolongsoo, Nov. 30th 1842 E.P. Cotton" sent outside the mails, as a favour from a naval Captain, to LONDON and posted there with a G.B. 1p. red imperf. tied by a very fine London Number "6" in Maltese Cross, with London and Jersey datestamps on the top flap. Long interesting letter from the addressee's husband, officer with the BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE en route from Churan. RARE and important Campaign Letter from the 1st OPIUM WAR. Highly important Exhibition item. EARLIEST COVER KNOWN FROM CHINA WITH A POSTAGE STAMP. Ex. Ishikawa and R. Chan.

✉ CHINA. Sg. 221. 1913 (April 23). Postcard endorsed 'via Siberia' franked by 1912 3c. blue-green tied by TIENTSIN cds, with large 'T' marking alongside. Taxed on arrival in Paris with Postage Due 10c. Scarce and fine.

Cover and original printed letter from the French Consul in TIENTSIN (and signed by him), mailed to PERPIGNAN 'via Siberia', with large part TIENTSIN cds and manuscript 'Stamp Off' in red and oval GENERAL SUPERVISOR / POST OFFICE TIENTSIN in violet. and forwarded on to France without further charges. French Consular cachet on reverse of a rare cover.
