Cotton" sent outside the mails, as a favour from a naval Captain, to LONDON and posted there with a G.B. 1p. red imperf. tied by a very fine London Number "6" in Maltese Cross, with London and Jersey datestamps on the top flap. Long interesting letter from the addressee's husband, officer with the BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE en route from Churan. RARE and important Campaign Letter from the 1st OPIUM WAR.
