Conjunto de 3 cartas dirigidas al Jefe de máquinas del Buque de Guerra Español "Jorge Juan" con sello de 2 reales (tarifa a Filipinas por el correo español). Dos de ellas dirigidas a Manila y la otra enviada primero a Manila y reexpedida a COCHINCHINA (defectos en el angulo derecho de la envuelta por falta de papel). Excepcional conjunto.

✉ INDOCHINA. 1860 (18 Nov.). CAMPAÑA FRANCO-ESPAÑOLA DE COCHINCHINA 1859-62. PARÍS a HONG KONG. Carta completa con texto franqueada con sello de 40 cts. naranja y dirigida al Comandante de la Corveta francesa "Le Laplace" concentrada en Hong Kong e integrante de la Flota Franco-Española que tomó Saigón a principios de 1861. Muy interesante y RARA, pocas cartas conocidas de esta campaña militar.

✉ INDOCHINA FRANCESA. 1868. Sobre enviado desde COCHINCHINA a través del Paquebot "Hovogly" con sellos de 10 cts. bistre y 40 cts.naranja. Mat. ANCLA y fechador COL. FR./PAQ. FR. N Nº2.

✉ INDOCHINA FRANCESA. 1901. FRANCIA a SAIGON sobre dirigido a un soldado de Inf. de Marina y redirigido a Hanoi, Mon-Cay, Haiphong y Tonkin. Rara etiqueta de reexpedición 9º DE MARINE INCONNU y firma "Le Tresorier" porque la carta venía tasada y el Ejército se negó a pagar el porte por no pertenecer el soldado a este regimiento. MUY INTERESANTE.

On arrival in Paris the cover was re-directed back to LEIPZIG and franked by 1862 10c. bistre and 20c. orange tied by Pars Star '1'. Slight creasing but most attractive and scarce.

Correctly unaccepted as pre-payment and taxed with framed "T" mark, reverse with San Francisco cds, Papeete arrival cds (May 28). Returned to sender with two line RETOUR/A L'ENVOYEUR struck on front and back of cover. A scarce usage.

✉ NUEVA GUINEA ALEMANA. 1897 (June 19). Cover and complete long original contents mailed to MESSINES (Belgium) endorsed 'Par Titus' franked by Germany 1888 5pf. green (4 examples, one with contemporary folded corner) tied by bold HERBERTSHOHE cds's in black. Reverse with Messines (Aug 11) cds of receipt. Very rare and fine.

GRAN BRETAÑA. COLLECTION FROM 1840 to 1919. Almost a complete collection. Stamps in mint condition with and without gum and many of the items with original gum. Including the 1840 2 d. blue (SG. 5) with part of original gum, 1847 1 sh. pale green with large part of original gum, outstanding corner sheet copy (SG. 54), 1888 2 sh. brown with original gum (SG. 121), 1878 10 sh. greenish grey with part of original gum (SG. 128), 1878 1 £ brown-lilac with part of original gum (SG. 129), 1884 1 £ brown-lilac wmk. three Imperial Crowns with original gum (SG. 185), 1888 1 £ brown-lilac wmk. three Orbs with part of original gum. Some stamps with faults such as creases, thinnings, reperforated margins... and in some the gum is not original. Important collection to be sold "as is". A good opportunity to acquire a group so complete with a lot of very rare stamps, seldom available in the market. (Value in the Stanley Gibbons 2014 catalogue +550.000 £).

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1841 (April 20). Cover from STRATHMIELD to GLASGOW franked by fine four margined 1840 1d. black, plate 9, lettered HB (State 1) tied by black MALTESE CROSS/ Straight line STRATHMIELD at left and Glasgow datestamp on reverse in black. A scarce and attractive cover. SG 2.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1849 (Feb. 16). Prepaid entire letter to RIO NEGRO (Nueva Granada), endorsed 'per Thames', from LONDON with red PAID datestamp of despatch in red and '1s.' in manuscript, struck on landing with fine oval SANTAMARTA / DEBE. and rate mark '3' reales in blue. A fresh and fine entire.

Cover from Auchnacloy, Scotland to Sydney, NEW SOUTH WALES franked at 1s rate for ½ ounce letters via Falmouth or Southampton, with Embossed 1847-54 1s green, reverse with London red transits and Crown ´Ship Letter-Sydney´ arrival in black on reverse, with handstruck ´3´ in black on front. SG 55.

✉ ADEN. Sg. 104. 1868. Cover to LONDON franked by Great Britain 1867/80 6d. lilac, pl. 6 tied by Mailboat Obliterator BO3 numeral handstamp in black, with London arrival cds (Aug 14) in red at left. Endorsed REC'D AUG 14, 68 FROM ADEN (JULY 25) at left and the cover, written from Lt. Jekyll on board HMS Star at Aden, was carried back from SUEZ (Aug 1) on the P&O 'Rangoon' and from Alexandria on the 'Poonah'. A rare cover. Cert. RPS (1995). SG 104.
