✉ RUSIA. 1873 (Feb. 22). Cover to SWITZERLAND franked on reverse with 1866 1k. black & yellow (5) and 3k. black & pale green (5) all tied in black.with NETTSTAL arrival cds (March 10, gregorian) in black.  Front with circular AUS RUSSLAND / FRANCO in red. Some peripheral aging but attractive.

✉ RUSIA. Sc. 19, 20, 28. 1876. Cover from ROSTOV to MEERUT (India) franked on front and back of cover with 1866-70 1k. black & deep yellow (3), 3k. black & green and 1875-82 8k. grey & red (2) all tied by ROSTOV cds in black. Reverse with nine datestamps including ´Sea Post Office-F´ (Sept 22) and Meerut arrival cds (Oct 8). A charming and rare cover to a most unusual destination.

✉ RUSIA. 1917 (Oct. 9/21). Cover and contents to CHICAGO from a Captain in the 'Office of the Military Mission, Petrograd', with interesting contents "After the excitement with the (Elihu) Root Mission and my trip to the Front with General Scott was over...the Germans dropped six 105mm. shells at us...the Germans will get here in the autumn or next spring...the (Russians) have no Patriotism...the state of affairs at the front is woeful..The situation here is far from brilliant and people often sigh for the days when they had a Czar and Policemen as liberty seems a very prickly rose"....franked at double rate with two 10k. blue, sent via Diplomatic bag and cancelled on arrival in Washington (Nov 28) with violet cachet This article was originally mailed in country indicated by postage.

✉ RUSIA. 1918 (April 14). Cover and contents to CHICAGO from a Captain in the 'Office of the Military Attache, American Embassy, Petrograd', typewritten letter from VOLOGDA "this is the first opportunity I have had for four months...the Embassy has moved to Vologda from Petrograd...the situation here gets all the time more complicated...", franked by 2k. green (3) and 5k. red-lilac (3) cancelled on arrival (by Diplomatic bag) by Washington machine cancel (Aug 14). Scarce post-Revolutionary letter.

✉ LEVANTE: CORREO RUSO. Mi. 19, 21. 1874 (Dec. 30). Small envelope to FRANCE franked by Russian Levant 1872 3k. green (Mi. 7) and Russia 3k. black & green and 10k. blue & brown all cancelled by CONSTANTINOPLE  datestamps in blue and by light Odessa transit. ERQUELINES-PARIS entry marking in blue (Jan 18, 1875 gregorian) and Lyon cds on reverse. A dramatic and extremely rare mixed franking.

✉ COLONIAS ESPAÑOLAS: FERNANDO POO. 1860 (28 Marzo). STA. ISABEL DE FERNANDO POO a BARCELONA. Marca ovalada del correo español GOBIERNO GENERAL DE FERNANDO POO Y SUS DEPENDENCIAS y fechador del Correo Británico FERNANDO PO. Manuscrito "Via de Inglaterra" y al dorso fechador de transito de Londres, entrada en España por la Junquera y llegada a Barcelona, tasada con 4 reales. Alguna pequeña erosión del papel en el frente de la carta. Pieza rarísima, es la única que conocemos con la combinación de fechadores de los Correos ESPAÑOL+BRITÁNICO.

✉ COLONIAS ESPAÑOLAS: FERNANDO POO. 1890. FERNANDO POO a PARÍS. 10 cts. castaño rojo. Mat. fechador de FERNANDO POO y sello ovalado GOBIERNO GENERAL DE FERNANDO POO. Al dorso espectacular sello de lacre del Gobierno de Fernando Poo y sus Dependencias. RARA circulada al extranjero en el siglo XIX.

✉ ITALIA. 1865 (Aug 18). Delightful redirected cover from Genoa franked by London printing 1863 10c. orange yellow and 1865 Type III 20c. on 15c. blue, readdressed on arrival in Schoebrunn back to Genoa with Swiss 1862 30c. carmine (Unif. 38) tied by Luzern cds. An attractive and very scarce cover. Sorani Certificate. Sassone L17,25.

✉ TIBET. Sg. 10B+11Ba. (1833-60). Local cover to GYANTSE franked on reverse with imperforate 2/3 trangka deep blue and 1tr. scarlet tied by bilingual LHASA cds in black.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sc. 65. 1867 (Feb.). Printed Matter entire letter from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) franked by single 1861/67 3c. rose red tied by bold NEW YORK FOREIGN MAIL cancellation in black. This franking was the only one on the Gomez correspondence. Cadiz arrival cds at left (Feb 16) and charged '4' Reales due to pay in red. Reverse with oval LISTA handstamp in black. A RARE franking.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sc. 97. 1868 (June). Entire letter from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) endorsed per steamer 'Cuba' at 24 cents rate franked by vertical pair of Washington 1867 12c. black (with grill) tied by cork cancels in black. London transit cds in red (June 27) on reverse and London obliterator '5' over-striking the erroneous London/Paid cds on front. Taxed on arrival in Cadiz with '8' Reales due handstamp in red. A rare and fine pair on a scarce cover.

Entire letter from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) endorsed per steamer 'Russia' at 24 cents rate franked by vertical pair of Washington 1867 12c. black (with grill) tied by CORK cancels in black. London transit cds in red (June 12) and taxed on arrival in Cadiz with '12' Reales due handstamp in red. A rare and fine pair on a SCARCE cover.

Invoice from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) endorsed per steamer 'Wyoming' at 28 cents rate franked by Banknote 1870/71 2c. brown, 6c. rose red and pair of 10c. brown tied by CORK cancels in black and by London transit cds in red. NEW YORK/24 datestamp of despatch (March 8) in red and reverse with Cadiz cds. A splendid and SCARCE three colour franking.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sc. 162. 1873 (Dec. 13). Entire letter from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) endorsed per 'Germ. Mail via England' (carried on the 'Donau') at 12 cents rate franked by single Continental Banknote Co. 1873 12c. deep violet tied by barred Foreign Mail cancellation and by NEW YORK despatch cds in red. Fine large part Wfco. 2 applied at Aachen in transit in red with Cadiz arrival cds (Dec 30) in black. A charming and rare entire.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1882. NEW YORK to PARÍS. 2 cts. orange, 3 cts. green and 5 cents. blue. Registered cover, arrival on back.

RIO BRANCO (Uruguay) (no podemos asegurar con total certeza que la carta proceda de esta población, la caligrafía de la carta es poco clara, por el texto si parece que la carta proviene de algún lugar de Uruguay) circulada a CALELLA (Barcelona) entrada en España por MALAGA dónde se le aplicó la marca MALAGA/ANDALUCIA/BAXA y la marca YNDIAS ambas en rojo. Primera carta conocida con la marca YNDIAS estampada en MÁLAGA.

✉ URUGUAY. Sc. 18a(4). 1864. MONTEVIDEO a BUENOS AIRES. Carta completa circulada con 4 sellos del 6 cts. carmín. Magnífico y muy raro franqueo.

✉ URUGUAY. 1865. MONTEVIDEO a FRANCIA. Fechador ovalado de MONTEVIDEO y octogonal marítimo francés URUGUAY/CARMEL.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1818 (21 Agosto). SANTA FE a PUERTO CABELLO. Carta completa con texto marca lineal MARACAYBO en rojo (Tizón nº 2). Estampación muy débil pero rarísima.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1819 (5 Junio). MARACAYBO a PTO. CABELLO. Carta completa con texto MARACAYBO y FRANCA en rojo (Tizón nº 2 y 4). RARÍSIMA.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1824 (29 Enero). MÉRIDA a BOGOTÁ. Carta completa con texto marca MERIDA/FRANCA en tinta de escribir corregida con la marca DEBE y tasada con "3" reales. RARÍSIMA.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1829 (22 Septiembre). ESTANQUES a BOGOTÁ. Carta completa con texto marca BAILADS/FRANCA (BAILADORES) en color sepia de la época Colonial usada ya en el período Independiente. Carta circulada via S. Jose de Cuenca, Pamplona y Tunja (Tizón nº 1 y 2). EXTRAORDINARIAMENTE RARA.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1836 (2 Mayo). ESTANQUES a BOGOTÁ. Carta completa con texto marca TACHIRA/DEBE en tinta de escribir, marca de origen Colonial usada después de la independencia. RARÍSIMA.

✉ VENEZUELA. (1863 CA.). Envuelta circulada a CARACAS dirigida al General Carlos Soublette Vice Presidente de Venezuela y uno de los héroes de la Guerra de la Independencia Venezolana. Marca TACHIRA/FRANCA en color sepia y manuscrito "Franca". RARÍSIMA.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1869. LIVERPOOL a CARACAS. Circulada con sello GB de 1 sh. verde, la carta fué encaminada hasta LA GUAYRA por FERNANDO & RIVODO (marca en el frente en azul) quienes añadieron un sello 1/2 real lila rojo FALSO POSTAL (tipo I) para el pago del porte interno de Caracas a La Guayra. Excepcional combinación de franqueo y más con un sello falso postal. ÚNICA CONOCIDA. Cert. HOLCOMBE y B. MOORHOUSE. Ex. HEISTER.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1873. LA GUAYRA a MÁLAGA. Circulada con sellos franceses de 40 cts. naranja, mat.ROMBO DE PUNTOS con ANCLA en azul y fechador octogonal marítimo VENEZUELA/PAQ. FR. Nº 3 (Salles nº 1420). A la llegada tasada con 4 reales. BONITA y RARA.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1876. MARACAIBO a VERACRUZ. Carta encaminada hasta PUERTO CABELLO (al dorso marca ovalada LUIS YRIBARREN/COMISIONISTA GENERAL/PUERTO CABELLO). La carta fue entregada al correo francés añadiéndole dos sellos de 30 cts. castaño. Mat. ANCLA y se la estampó el fechador PORTO-CABELLO/* y posteriormente el de línea VENEZUELA/PAQ. FR. Nº2 anulando el anterior y LIGNE A/*PAQ. FR. * Nº2*. En la escala posterior de Fort de France la carta es enviada por la línea B (fechador al dorso). Magnífica y MUY RARA asociación de marcas. Cert. ROUMET.

✉ VENEZUELA. Sc. 62 (2), 63. 1882. PUERTO CABELLO a TRUJILLO. Carta certificada circulada con sellos de ESCUELAS de 1 bolivar azul (2) y 2 bolivares azul, mat. lineal CERTIFICADO en color verde. Al dorso firma manuscrita del Administrador y "recibí" del destinatario. Excepcional y muy raro franqueo, de los sellos de 1 y 2 bolivares se conocen muy pocos ejemplares en carta. Cert. B. MOORHOUSE.

VARIOS. ÁLBUM DE FACSÍMILES editado por la Union Philatélique de Geneve en 1928, ejemplar con el número "299". Contiendo todos los sellos FALSOS realizados por FRANÇOIS FOURNIER así como sus matasellos. Contiene también pruebas y algunos sellos en bloques, hay solamente tres espacios vacíos. Muy interesante y en excelente estado de conservación.

LOTES y COLECCIONES. ESPAÑA. Importante colección de referencia de sellos FALSOS. Consta de 1455 sellos falsos más unas hojas totalizando 2.255 ejemplares. La colección muy bien presentada en hojas de album contiene una buena representación de los sellos falsos realizados por Bobes, Fournier, Imp. Garnier, Gelli-Tani, J. Goldner, Moens, Oneglia, Novella, O. Schröeder, M. Segui, Jean de Sperati, P. Spiro, R. Ramon de Torres y Venturini. Importante un detallado examen.

VARIOS. SPERATI REPRODUCTIONS. These eighteen stamps mounted on the small approval sheet were sent by Sperati to Ell (in Portugal) in 1942. The French Customers opened the letter and prosecuted Sperati for exporting stamps without declaring them. Sperati claimed that they were forgeries and quite valueless. Dr. Edmond Locard the French criminologist was asked to report on the stamps and he declared them all to be genuine. Sperati appealed and produced five similar sets to prove that he was right and the stamps were forged. He was acquitted on the smuggling charge on 31 January 1948. These stamps are all marked on the back "Copie" by the French Court at Chambery. Oustanding piece of a great historical value.
