✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. Sg. 43, 45, 71 (2). 1859. MANSFIELD to MEXICO. Folded letter franked by 1p. red, 2p. blue and two stamps of 1sh. green. Fine tricolour franking.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1868. Cover to VERACRUZ endorsed "per French packet via St. Nazaire" franked by 1867 2 s. pale blue tied by LOMBARD STREET duplex and by blue CALAIS entry marking. Reverse with circular French Paquebot LIGNE B-PAQ. FR. Nº 3 in black with, on front large handstamp "2" for 2 reales local delivery.

✉ ANTIGUA. Sg. 7 (5). 1877. ANTIGUA to USA. Envelope franked with strip of five of 1 d. vermilion tied by A02 cancel. Charged 5 cts. inland fee. The perf. of the strip partly squeezed when applied and the right stamp scissor's cut at right by opening. Rare and the only letter recorded from Antigua to US via St. Thomas.

✉ AUSTRALIA. Sg. 19, 43. 1866. KOORINGA to ENGLAND. 1p. green and 9p. grey lilac. Marked "via Marseilles". Carried on board of the P.& O. ship "Bombay".

✉ QUEENSLAND. 1870. Cover from BRISBANE (Ja 25) via Sydney (Ja 31) to DUBLIN, double rate via Marseille with 2 d., 6 d. and 1 s. grey tied by oval Q.L. bs H & H PACT/3 cds. Horizontal file fold above the stamps.

✉ BECHUANALAND. Sg. 32, 33 (2), 34. 1896. KHAMAS TOWN to ENGLAND. 1 d. (2), 2 p. (2), arrival on reverse. FINE.

✉ HONDURAS BRITANICA. Sg. 35b. 1888. BELIZE to BELIZE. Envelope franked with TWO on 50 cts. on 1 sh. grey with BLACK SURCHARGE tied with O grill cancel. According to an article on The Philatelist dated July 1988 by Rosson Lowe only twenty copies of the black surcharge were made and this probably is the unique known on cover. Ex. col. Ferrari (5th Auction, lot 230) (SG. off cover 15.000 £).

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1851 (April 9). GIBRALTAR to CADIZ. Entire letter with very fine (partly albino) tiny red arc-framed GIBRALTAR, hand struck in red 1R. arrival charge, endorsed "Por Estafeta". This very rare mark is used by the postmaster in Gibraltar only on letters that he dispatched by private foreign ships. This the latest known date of the very few letters recorded. Cert. RPS'2006.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1909. GIBRALTAR a SAN SEBASTIÁN. Entero Postal español de 5 + 5 cts. verde (Ed. 44) circulado a la ida, no aceptado por el correo de Gibraltar y tasado con 10 cts. Fechador de salida de Gibraltary llegada a San Sebastián.

✉ COSTA DE ORO. 1885 (Nov 21). Cover with printed reverse 'Basel Mission Factory, Addah' to Beilstein, Germany franked by March 1885 4d. deep mauve tied by heavy strike of "Addah Seal" handstamp in black (ink has left traces of tropicalisation), Addah cds, code C, at left in black and Accra transit Nov 22. "3" (pence to G.P.O.) and "1" accountancy marks in red crayon. Red 'Paid / Liverpool / Br. Packet' cds at left (Dec 15) and arrival on reverse. Late usage of this cancel, the only known on a Crown CA 4d. cover. SG 16.

✉ COLONIAS INGLESAS. 1848 (July 8). BRITISH INDIAN OCEAN TERRITORY. BODDAM (Salomon islands, Chagos Archipelago). Large entire letter (5 pages) writting in french (with interesting historical contents). The letter was addressed to the care Mr. Jean Rabin in Mauritius who then forwarded the letter in another cover from Mauritius. The letter would had been hand carried to Mauritius by schoocer and then posted to Bordeaux in the accompaying lovely cover, with excellent strike of fancy crowned MAURITIUS/4.1849/G.P.O. black handstamp, clear strik of red COLONIES/ART. 13 handstamp, transit of London and BORDEAUX arrival cds. An extraordinary cover, the earliest known letter from B.I.O.T ilustrated in Proud's book and a complete chapter is devote to this fantastic letter.

Registered cover to LONDON franked by 1894 1d. pale blue, 2½d. carmine-lake, 5d. grey-lilac and 1sh. black all tied by OLD CALABAR RIVER cds's in black with oval registered datestamp below. Liverpool transit (Aug 12) also on front of an attractive cover.

✉ NIGERIA. 1896 (19 Dec.). Envelope (227x100 mm.) registered to MANCHESTER, marked "Per Bakana", bearing 1892 2d. (2), 1894 (Jan.) 1d. and 1894 (May) 1d. (2), all tied by OPOBO RIVER c.d.s. with code A (Type D2) and showing Liverpool transit d.s. (25.1). Attractive.

✉ NIGERIA. 1896 (19 Dec.). Envelope registered to MANCHESTER, marked "Per Bakana", bearing 1892 1/2 d. vermilion, 2 d. grey-green and carmine, 1894 (Jan) 2 1/2 d. carmine-lake and 1894 (May) 2 d. lake, all tied by OROBO RIVER cds with code "A", showing REGISTERED LIVERPOOL d.s. (25.1.97) with arrival cds on reverse. Attractive.

✉ BORNEO. Sg. 6, 7, 25, 28, 34, 35. 1888. SANDAKAN to SAN FRANCISCO (U.S.A.). Cover franked with 1/2 cent, 1 cent, 2 cents, 4 cents, 8 cents and 10 cents stamps, mixed franking of two issues, tied by BARRED OVALS cancellation with red SANDAKAN cds. on registered cover. Spectacular and RARE franking.

✉ SANTA LUCIA. Sg. 18 (4). 1878. SAINT LUCIA to FRANCE. (1 sh.) orange, perf. 14, two vertical pairs, cancelled by A 11. Sextuple rate (to pay a weight between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 ounces). The only recorded example of this extraodinary franking. Ex Lockie and Sacher.

Registered cover to LONDON franked by extraordinary usage of twelve "3" on 3d. pale dull rose provisionals and single 4d. blue all tied in black with GRAAFF REINERT cds below. REGISTERED LETTER OFFICE-CAPE TOWN cds in black and London arrival in red on front (Aug 22). Minor trim to envelope but rare.
