ANTIGUA. Sg. 7 (5). 1877. ANTIGUA to USA. Envelope franked with strip of five of 1 d. vermilion tied by A02 cancel. Charged 5 cts. inland fee. The perf. of the strip partly squeezed when applied and the right stamp scissor's cut at right by opening. Rare and the only letter recorded from Antigua to US via St. Thomas.

GIBRALTAR. 1851 (April 9). GIBRALTAR to CADIZ. Entire letter with very fine (partly albino) tiny red arc-framed GIBRALTAR, hand struck in red 1R. arrival charge, endorsed "Por Estafeta". This very rare mark is used by the postmaster in Gibraltar only on letters that he dispatched by private foreign ships. This the latest known date of the very few letters recorded. Cert. RPS'2006.

Cover with printed reverse 'Basel Mission Factory, Addah' to Beilstein, Germany franked by March 1885 4d. deep mauve tied by heavy strike of "Addah Seal" handstamp in black (ink has left traces of tropicalisation), Addah cds, code C, at left in black and Accra transit Nov 22. "3" (pence to G.P.O.) and "1" accountancy marks in red crayon. Red 'Paid / Liverpool / Br. Packet' cds at left (Dec 15) and arrival on reverse. Late usage of this cancel, the only known on a Crown CA 4d. cover. SG 16.

COLONIAS INGLESAS. 1848 (July 8). BRITISH INDIAN OCEAN TERRITORY. BODDAM (Salomon islands, Chagos Archipelago). Large entire letter (5 pages) writting in french (with interesting historical contents). The letter was addressed to the care Mr. Jean Rabin in Mauritius who then forwarded the letter in another cover from Mauritius. The letter would had been hand carried to Mauritius by schoocer and then posted to Bordeaux in the accompaying lovely cover, with excellent strike of fancy crowned MAURITIUS/4.1849/G.P.O. black handstamp, clear strik of red COLONIES/ART. 13 handstamp, transit of London and BORDEAUX arrival cds. An extraordinary cover, the earliest known letter from B.I.O.T ilustrated in Proud's book and a complete chapter is devote to this fantastic letter.
