Circulada via Inglaterra, fechadores de Londres y llegada a Santander y tasa de 2,60 pts. Espectacular franqueo, el más alto conocido en ésta emisión. RARÍSIMA.

Sobre dirigido al Mayor Comandante de las Fuerzas Americanas circulada con la marca ovalada AYUNTAMIENTO DE QUEBRADILLAS/ALCALDIA y fechador del correo español de Quebradillas usada provisionalmente por falta de sellos US en dicha villa indicando que el franqueo estaba pagado. Defecto en la parte superior del sobre. PIEZA EXCEPCIONAL y ÚNICA CONOCIDA de dicha villa. Reseñada ya por Preston y posteriormente por Garcia Lomas, en el catálogo Edifil Especializado la reseña en la pag. 217. Ex. colecciones Preston y O. Davila.

Pair of covers from SWITZERLAND showing single and double tariff, both from Roggwyl with Sitting Helvetia frankings cancelled at Olten, first franked by 30c. + 60c. with POSTE FRANÇAISE/D'ALEP s/1 hs in blue alongside, rare combination, second franked by 20c + 60c + 1Fr. both with small red oval 7/A.E.D. hs of the French Exchange office at St. Luois, various transit backstamps incl. ✉ SUIZA. 1881 (Aug). ST. MORITZ to HAMILTON (Province Ontario) redirected to New Jersey (United States). Single weight letter from St. Moritz to Hamilton, Canadian Province of Ontario. Correct single weight franking of 25 rappen for UPU member states. Canada joined the UPU on July 1, 1876. UPON arrival redirected to the United States under franking of 3 cents Canadian postage. So far only recorded combination cover from Switzerland to Canada during this period. Cert. E. RELLSTAB.

✉ SUIZA. 1896. BERN a ANVERS (Bélgica). 5 Rp. lila rojo sobre entero postal belga de 5 cts. verde, la tarjeta fue reexpedida a VALPARAISO (Chile) y el correo belga dió validez al entero postal. Muy interesante franqueo mixto.

✉ SIAM. 1839 (October 24). INCOMING MAIL. RAMREE ISLAND (Burma) to BANGKOK (Siam). Entire letter from an American Missionary to a fellow-missionary in Bangkok. Endorsed "Care Revd. J. Tracey. Singapore" with a partly fine small boxed FORWARDED/BY/J.W. ROBERTS/AGENT/CALCUTTA, also endorsed "Pr. Time" and manuscript "Postal Rate 37?" (rate from Calcutta to Singapore?). Folds to show internal heading beside address, with two reinforced and slightly toned filing folds that hardly detract. An extraordinary cover one of the earliest recorded covers from Ramree and one of the earliest covers known ingoing to Siam.

✉ TAILANDIA. 1874. INCOMING MAIL. FRANCE to BANGKOK (Siam). Envelope franked with strip of four of 25 cts. blue french stamps, sent via British ship, on reverse SINGAPORE/PAID transit cds. Extremely rare destination at this time.

✉ TAILANDIA. 1901. BANGKOK to SPAIN. 2 atts red Postal Stationery uprated with 10 att. on 24 cents. (Sc. 64 750 US$ used off cover) cancelled by SINGAPORE cds. Arrival on reverse. Some age stains but a VERY RARE stamp on cover to an unusual destination at that time.

Entire letter from NEW YORK 'per Britannia' to LYON (France) franked by fine Postmaster's Provisional 1845-46 5c. black (signed ACM in magenta) tied in transit by Boulogne entry marking in red. Framed COLONIES & C.ART.12 alongside and London cds of transit on reverse (Dec 17). A rare Overseas usage and a fine cover. Scott 9X1.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sg. 63, 65 (2), 69. 1864. ONE CENT. DOUBLE VERTICAL PERFORATION VARIETY. CHICAGO to SWITZERLAND. Envelope franked with 1 ctvo. blue double vertical perforation error, two 3 cts. rose and 12 cts. black, tied by blue segment cork cancel and by chicago double circle datestamp, AMERICA/UBER BREMEN/FRANCO three-line handstamp, transit and arrival cds on reverse. Very fine and attractive franking paying 19 cts. Bremen-Hamburg Mail rate to Switzerland and VERY RARE with 1 ctvo. ERROR.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sc. 65, 69, 71. 1865. CAMBRIDGE to LISBON (Portugal). Envelope addressed to a Shipman U.S. Frigate "Colorado" (was the flagship for the Navy's European Squadron at the time). Franked with 3 cts. rose, 12 cts. black and 30 cts. orange, tied by grid cancels, faint edge toning and small tears, unusual destination. Cert. PF'2000.

✉ URUGUAY. 1829. GIBRALTAR a LIMA (Perú). Carta completa circulada probablemente por tierra hasta Lisboa y por buque portugués hasta MONTEVIDEO vía Río de Janeiro. Tasada con 10 ctvos. probablemente en Uruguay. Algunas erosiones del papel pero excepcional ruta.

✉ URUGUAY. 1858. BOSTON (U.S.A.) a BUENOS AYRES. Encaminada por C. MORTON STEWARD/BALTIMORE hasta MONTEVIDEO donde fue depositada al correo. MUY RARA.

✉ ESPAÑA. 1855. BILBAO a MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay). 2 reales rojo (2) y marca PAID/AT/TENERIFE y tarifa manuscrita"1sh". Circulada en el buque "Velasco" de la Armada Española hasta Tenerife y en el buque de la R.M.S.P.C. "Avon" hasta Montevideo. Extraordinariamente rara, muy pocas cartas conocidas dirigidas a Uruguay via Tenerife en este periodo.
