Rare and wonderful item.

Excepcional ruta vía Panama y entrada a México por el Pacífico durante el período de la Intervención Francesa en México. RARÍSIMA.

✉ MEXICO. 1864 (15 Agosto). LEON a GUADALAJARA. 1/2 real castaño (segundo período) y 2 reales amarillo. Rarísima combinación de franqueo. Ésta carta probablemente se franqueó primero con 1/2 real para ser enviada como impresos, al no ser aceptada como tal, se refranqueó con la tarifa de carta de 2 reales. Carta excepcional con el rarísimo sello de 1/2 real castaño del segundo período y con una combinación de franqueo probablemente única conocida.

✉ MEXICO. 1864 (7 Sep.). FRONTAL de carta CERTIFICADA de PUEBLA a VERACRUZ con franqueo de 1 Real ultramar, 2 Reales naranja, 4 Reales verde y 8 Reales rojo. Matasellos CERTIFICACION A PUEBLA/SALIO EN "7 de Setiembre 1864". Excepcional franqueo cuatricolor.

(1864 CA.). 1 r. blue, good to huge margins with small 236 1864 and horizontal MAZATLAN ovpts. and tied to reduced cover by superb Mazatlan FRANCO in wreath (Sch. 740), addressed to "...San Francisco/Alta California" (then already part of USA), no other postal markings so probable carried privately by coastal steamer, rare usage outside Mexico in this period.

Δ MARRUECOS. 1912. Gran fragmento de carta de CASABLANCA a MAZAGAN con sellos del correo alemán de 5 pf. y sello local de 5 cts. rojo. Pese a tratarse sólo de un fragmento de carta la combinación de franqueo es muy rara y al dorso tiene el fechador de llegada.

✉ NEPAL. 1923 (August). DHANKUTA to KATHMANDU. Registered 4 tola weight cover bearing nine 4 pice stamps, the highest known 4 pice franking of the 1907 issue. Ex W. Hellrig.

✉ NEPAL. 1926 (Feb.). From a Post Office near POKHARA (Western Nepal) to KATHMANDU. Double-weight registered cover franked with 4 pice green, 8 pice red and 16 pice violet, cancelled with an unrecorded postmaster's ink seal, addressed to the Commander-in-Chief of Nepal, Bhim Shamsher. The excess weight was caused by a rupee coin that was originally enclosed, as a sign of respect for the addressee. EXTREMELY RARE franking and cancellation. Ex W. Hellrig.

✉ NEPAL. 1937 (July). TATAPANI to KATHMANDU. Registered double-weight cover bearing an unusual mixed franking of the 1907 issue 8 and 16 pice and the 1935 issue 4 pice. Only two covers are known with mixed frankings of 1907 & 1935. Ex W. Hellrig.

✉ INDIA HOLANDESA. Ed. . 1860. Stampless letter from BATAVIA to GERMANY, endorsed ´Via Triest´, with scarce blue 6 handstamp applied in TRIEST and KOLN, GERMANY backstamp. Very fine, handsome and very scarce.
