British PO Guayaquil cds on reverse and single ring 'Panama' cds (May 10) on front. New York/Steamship/10 arrival (June 11). A fine entire that opens well for Exhibit display.

✉ EGIPTO. 1864 (Nov. 19). Entire letter from ALEXANDRIA to MILAN franked by Italy 1863 10c. orange buff in a horizontal pair and single 40c. carmine tied by two strikes of small cartridge PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / ITALIANI in black, with ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO / POSTE ITALIANE cds at right. Reverse with Milan arrival (Nov 25). An unusual franking.

✉ EGIPTO. 1911. PORT SAID to DANEMARK. 10 cts. French PORT SAID postal stationary card. Returned to Port Said and taxed with 2 piaster stamp on arrival.

✉ ETIOPIA. 1868 (Jan. 8). ABYSSINIA CAMPAIGN. MARCH TO MAGDALA. Envelope from BANGALORE (India) to Capt. H.M. ELLIOT of the Sapper's Miners attached to the "Field Force Abyssinia", franked at Officer's rate by India. 4 a. green tied by BANGALORE duplex. Reverse with Bombay transit and usual faint strike FIELD FORCE POST OFFICE/ABYSSINIA in red. The cover is redirected to KOOMAYLO during the March to Magdala. Unique know to this destination.

Cover to Walthamstow franked by both Great Britain 1856 4d. carmine rose and France 1853 40c. orange, both creased and each tied by 'pointilles' lozenge of small dots on despatch in Paris. Whilst the rate would have been correct, the Postmaster struck the cover with a framed 'Affranchisement-Insuffissant' handstamp and, on arrival, the pre-payment was ignored and cover taxed '8d.' due. for a double letter. Natural file fold through two stamps but delightful and very rare cover.

✉ FRANCIA. 1878 (July 30). Formula Card used to Hoorn, Netherlands franked by Type Sage 5c. green originally missed by Paris P.O., cancelled on arrival with 'HOORN' datestamp (Aug 1) in black. An unusual usage. Ceres 75.

Envelope with full contents initially put on "Le Nom Denomme nº 1", then recoreved and flow out on the "Jean Bart nº 2". Arrival on reverse (19 Oct.). The contents of this letter have benefited from detailed research, in revealing how undercover mail was transmitted out of Paris. Usual faults.

Transits (14, 15, 17 Oct.) and arrival (19 Oct.). Very interesting cover over the 5 gr. limit contrary the Regulations and several times redirected.
