Sin duda algún capitán de Paquebot conservó el cuño y lo continuó utilizando posteriormente en la correspondencia entregada en mano. ÚNICA CONOCIDA, reseñada en Salles (pag. 228).

Al dorso fechador de llegada COCHINCHINE/*SAIGON*. Excepcional estampación. Muy raro así.

✉ GUADALUPE. 1795 (28 Noviembre). ANSE BERTRAND to NEWBURY (Usa). Entire letter with linear BOSTON entry mark tax "12". Very rare letter from this remote place and more so early, probably unique in the XVIII century.

✉ GUADALUPE. 1850 (July 27). Entire letter from Petit Bourg to France with fine strike of 'PETIT BOURG' cds in black and unique strike of framed 'P.P.' in black alongside. 'Basse-Terre' cds at right and thence via London (Aug 19) with red 'Colonies &c. Art 13' and Delle arrival cds on reverse. A remarkable and rare entire.

✉ GUADALUPE. Sc. 2-6. 1868 (April 9). Cover from POINTE A PITRE to LIMA, Perú, franked by Eagle issue 1859-65 2 x 5 c. green, 10 c. bistre, 2 x 20 c. blue, 40 c. vermillon and 80 c. rose all tied by light black dotted lozenge and once in blue; superb strike of Crown PAID AT GUADALUPE in blue alongside, one ot two recorded in this colour, and BRITISH PO cds on reverse charge paid being 1 s 4 d in red manuscript. Cover then went to BRITISH PO'S in ST. THOMAS (APR 12) and PANAMA (APR 23) arriving at Lima on May 2nd. A remarkable five colour franking and exquisite cover. Ex. PANNETIER.

✉ GUADALUPE. Ce. 3+5. 1870 (Jan. 6). Cover to BORDEAUX franked by General Issues 1859/65 Eagle 10c. bistre and 40c. vermilion sharing bold strike of very rare lozenge of 64 dots struck in red with matching GUADELOUPE / BASEE-TERRE datestamp alongside. Underpaid for double weight and taxed with initial "7" in red and over-scored in black, with framed AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT in red below. Small part of addressee's name removed but a rare and charming cover.

Outer letter sheet from Pointe A Pitre to Le Havre with three colour franking of 1872-77 imperforate 5c green, 15c bistre and pair of 25c blue all tied by lozenge of dots in black. Pointe A Pitre cds in black and red entry mark on front of attractive cover. Ceres 17,22,23.

Entire letter from MOULE to POINTE A PITRE franked by General Issues 1872-77 Ceres 1c. olive green in a marginal horizontal strip of five and single small figures 15c. bistre all tied by dotted lozenge in black with GUADELOUPE-MOULE cds below. Reverse with Pointe A Pitre cds of receipt (same day). A remarkable and rare entire.

ANG./ POINTE A PITRE GUAD. datestamps in black. cd Calais entry marking on front (Nov 13) and reverse with arrival cds. A fine and most attractive cover. Ceres 17+20.

POINTE-A-PITRE GUAD datestamp with octagonal French paquebot LIGNE A PAQ. FR. Nº1 sent by French steamer with double ring COL. FR. PAQ. FR. ST NAZARE in red with NANTES arrival on reverse. Superb colourful franking.

Framed red PAQUEBOTS DE LA MÉDITERRANÉE and charged with "4Rs." in blue on arrival (June 18). A rare cover to a surprisingly unusual destination. Ceres 13,16.
