Brown on grey blue illustrated stationery letter-card (Beira, Rua Conselheiro Castilho) sent registered to GERMANY and up-rated with 1907 2x 2 1/2 c. grey, pair of 15 r. green and a single 25 r. rose red all tied by DEUTSCHE SEEPOST/OST AFRIKANISCHE/HAUPTLINIE cds¦s with registered label at top. A stunning and scarce cover. Scott 11, 16, 19.

✉ MOZAMBIQUE. 1911 (Oct 9). Large registered cover to the 'Thatched House Club' in St. James's, London franked by extraordinary usage of 1911 50r. brown (no less than 19 examples) and 100r. dark blue (11 examples in a horizontal strip and a single) all tied by octagonal 'Beira' datestamps. Astonishingly one stamp is missing but a remarkable cover. Scott 81,83.

Registered cover to San Jose, COSTA RICA franked by Mozambique 1c green War Tax and 1914 Ceres 1c blue green & 1914 optd 115r on 300r blue on salmon all tied by hexagonal Lourenço Marques datestamps. London & New York transits on reverse. An unusual franking to a very scarce destination. Scott 118,134, MR1.

✉ COLONIAS ESPAÑOLAS: PUERTO RICO. 1864 (26-Sept). GUAYANILLA a BARCELONA. Circulada por el correo Britanico, fechador PORTO-RICO / PAID manuscrito tarifa "1/11" (1 sch.11p.) pagada en origen. La carta fue tasada con "4" (reales) a la llegada a España. Muy raro el pago de los portes del correo Inglés en efectivo, normalmente se usaban los sellos ingleses de los que disponia la Agencia de S. Juan.
