✉ INDIA INGLESA. 1800 (Aug 18). Extremely early entire letter from CALCUTTA to MADEIRA, sent outside the Mails and endorsed on front "Forwarded by y.m.s. Prinsch & Saunders" (probably in London). Docketed inside as received 'April 10, 1802'. A fresh and fine entire.

✉ INDIA INGLESA. 1835 (June 18). Entire letter written from BORDEAUX to CALCUTTA endorsed "Elizabeth" with reverse showing superb strike of framed KEDGREE-POST OFFICE-SHIP LETTER in black, Calcutta GPO datestamp (Oct 31) of arrival and two line rate INLND.PSTG (5)/SHIP (2) due. A fine and rare entire.

✉ INDIA INGLESA. 1842 (Dec). Entire letter from India to London, endorsed ´per Overland Mail via Falmouth´ at top, oval framed ´INDIA´ on front and, on arrival readdressed on to Oxford with GB 1841 1d red brown tied by black Maltese Cross. Reverse bears London, Oxford and eventual Pewsey arrivals cds. Rare and interesting entire. SG 8.

Long entire letter from MADRAS endorsed ´Per Steamer via Marseilles´ with double arc cds of despatch; mailed as Consignee´s letter via Ship´s Captain to LONDON and via Forwarding Agents in the Strand, franked on arrival with GB 1 d. red tied by LONDON duplex to Regent Street. Unusual usage and an appealing entire.

✉ INDIA INGLESA. Ed. . 1858. Cover to his GRACE the Duke of Norfolk at ARUNDEL with CALCUTTA despatch on reverse and good strike of scarce SAVED FROM THE WRECK/OF THE AVA in black. The Avawas wrecked near TRINCOMALEE in CEYLON on 16 February 1858 and the Mails mostly arrived in LONDON in June 1858.

✉ INDIA. Sg. 39,42. 1861 (March 16). Cover to BRENTWOOD (UK) franked by 1856/64 1a. brown (4) and single 2a. yellow-buff tied by '103' numeral obliterators of Fyzabad. Reverse with FYZABAD despatch cds and framed INDIA PAID in same ink, Allahabad cds in red, Bombay cds and Brentwood arrival (April 19).

Cover to NEATH (Wales) endorsed 'via Marseilles' franked by 1865 ½a. blue pair, 2a. brown-orange and 4a. green tied by '224' numeral obliterators with MURREE cds alongside. Framed INDIA/PAID in red at left and reverse with Lahore transit (Oct 5) and Bombay cds (Oct 12).

✉ INDIA INGLESA. 1871 (April 26). Entire letter from Calcutta bearing 1856-64 defective 2a. orange yellow and pair of 1866 4a. green tied by 'B/1' in blue. Originally directed via Brindisi and readdressed on arrival in London (May 19) to Versailles with GB 3d. rose pl. 6 tied by London duplex. An interesting entire.

SUEZ cds in black (Sept 1) and CAIRO cds in blue (Sept 3) with erroneous year date. An attractive cover. Ex collection Wolfsbauer.

Large part registered cover from BUSHIRE to AUSTRALIA, endorsed "On Service/IEF "D" with sender's name at lower left, franked at 5 a. by India 1911-22 1/2 a. green vertical pair and single, 1 a. carmine and 2 a. 6 p. ultramarine (1913 type), tied by three fair to fine strikes of type Z4 ("C 16") BUSHIRE/REG. single ring cds. Blue registration label at centre. Slight faults (part of back missing), nevertheless a remarkable usage, with a three-colour franking. Scarce.

Dera Col." with double ring FIELD POST OFFICE No 166 datestamp addressed to HOLLAND and taxed with Netherlands postage dues 1 1/2 cents blue (2) (SG D232) and 4 1/2 cents blue (SG D236) tied on arrival by BAARLO double ring. A superb item of military mail.

Dera Col." with double ring BASRAN datestamp, boxed BASE POST OFFICE and FIELD POST OFFICE No 166 datestamp with PASSED CENSOR M.E.F. No 2 in red, routed via Port Taufio, Egypt, addressed to HOLLAND and taxed with Netherlands postage dues 1/2 cent blue (SG D230) and 7 cent blue (SG D239) tied on arrival by BAARLO double ring. A superb item of military mail.
