✉ MALTA. 1815 (November 19). MALTA to MADEIRA. Sent privately via New York. Endorsed on back "New York 3 February 1816. Received out of the Post Office this Day March and Benson". The front of the cover has a SHIP stamp in red. It received no landing charge at Madeira. A very unusual route, crossing twice the Atlantic sea.

✉ MALTA. 1837 (Dec. 19). Large part entire letter from SMYRNA to PARIS, endorsed at upper left "Malte" in manuscript, with reverse showing italic "Purifié de Marseille" in black and somewhat toasted for disinfection. Marseille transit cds (Jan. 6, 1838) on front and rated 10 decimes handstruck on arrival.

✉ MALTA. 1839 (Feb. 17). Entire letter from MALTA to BARCELONA struck with DE FRANCIA handstamp with rate markings "4R 8ms." Reverse with March 1 arrival datestamp, all markings in blue. File fold but a rare entire.

✉ MALTA. 1866. BARCELONA (Spain) to MALTA. Stampless entire, endorsed "Voie de Marseille" and "Paquebot francais/ou anglais", Barcelona despatch and French entry cds and fair example of scarce circular-framed accountancy FR/1f 45c handstamp, reverse with MARSEILLE transit and arrival cds. Very rare accountancy mark not listed in Salles.

✉ MALTA. 1866 (Oct.). Entire from Holland, bearing red "AMSTERDAM" cds also PAYS-BAS/2 ERQUELINES cds. in blue, FR/2F 16C currency mark, on reverse has two Malta receiving marks. Very rare currency mark, not listed in Salles on cover from Holland.

✉ MALTA. 1876. Cover to LIVORNO (Italy) franked 1/2d. SM, plate 6, and 2d. NC, plate 14 tied Malta code A25 duplex, reverse with Siracusa transit and arrival cancel.

✉ MALTA. 1885 (April 3). Germany 5pf violet postal stationery card, used to Germany and franked by five examples of the 1885 ½d green all tied by MALTA-A25 duplexes. A fine and unusual franking, slight faults to one adhesive. SG 20.

✉ MALTA. Ed. . 1886 (Apr 27). Cover probably from Tunisia franked by uncancelled 1878 Italian ´Estero´ 20c orange, cancelled by well struck MALTA-A25 duplex with Livorno arrival datestamp on reverse. A very attractive and scarce usage. Scott 7.

✉ MALTA. 1898 (May 27). 1d. carmine on buff postal stationery card used to GERMANY, struck with excellent impression of very rare BIRCHIRCARA cds in black. Malta cds below and M. Gladbach arrival at left. Rare.
