Entire letter from ROSTOV to SYRA via Odessa, franked on despatch with Arms 1865 1k. yellow, 3k. pale green and vertical strip of three 10k. blue & brown tied by circular FRANCO in red. Odessa diamond transit at right and charged 65 lepta on arrival with overlapped 1862/67 5 lepta green, 20 l. blue and 40 lepta rosy mauve all tied by SYRA / 67 datestamps. Creasing typical for this correspondence, despite small imperfections an attractive entire.

Reverse with PLYMOUTH / PACKET LETTER datestamp (Oct 5) in black (Robertson P2) and London cds (Oct 6) in red. Thence via Cunard Packet 'Africa' to New York (Oct 20) and charged '45' (cents due in black - 40c GB credit). RARE and most unusual entire, journey time 203 days.

Entire letter with crested 'HMS Seagull' envelope, from the Cuthbert Druitt correspondence to LONDON, written on board the Naval Gunvessel 'HMS Seagull' and letter datelined "Fernando Poo 17/19.12.1871", franked by Great Britain 1867 6d. lilac pl. 9 paying the Officer's rate from West Africa, tied by '466' Liverpool obliterator in black. Circular PAID / LIVERPOOL / BR. PACKET cds (Jan 26, 1872) in red at left. An extraordinarily rare entire with original contents '…not an ounce of coal left. we have been obliged to ask (as a favour) the Spaniards to let us have some of theirs... we left the River Bonny...tomorrow we sail for Cape Coast...for the Mail'. Believed to be the sole example, bearing a British adhesive used from Fernando Poo. Ex Sacher.

Tarifa manuscrita a lápiz "50" cent. de pta. aplicada por el correo español en Fernando Poo (tarifa U.P.U. para la correspondencia a la Península) y "11" décimas cargadas por el correo francés, según tarifa para cartas de menos de 15 gr que llegaban sin franqueo. ✉ COLONIAS ESPAÑOLAS: FERNANDO POO. (1865-1870). Correo interno. Conjunto formado por cinco sobres enviados por Frank Wilsour (conocido comerciante inglés instalado en Fernando Poo) a la Sra. E.A. Meyer a través de J.W.B. Lynslayer, cuatro de los sobres tienen texto aunque sin mención de la fecha ni del lugar de origen (sólo uno hace mención al British Consulate). También una carta circulada desde Glasgow a Fernando Poo con el sello arrancado y 2 sobres sin texto enviados a Frank Wilson en Fernando Poo y St. Paul de Loanda. Muy interesante y raro conjunto, no conocemos ninguna otra carta circulada en el interior de la Colonia en esta época.
