BENGUELA despatch cds at left and reverse with Lisbon and London transits (July 16) and Montreal arrival (July 29). Readdressed to USA with Beloit, Wisconsin receipt. Scarce. Scott 21.

Cover sent to Breslau from Loanda, underpaid and found to be double rate (22 grams in manuscript) bearing Germany 1889 10pf. carmine pair tied by oval dated 'Deutsche Seepost/Linie/Hamburg-Westafrika/XI' in black. Further strike at left and manuscript charge '40pf' due double the deficiency. A scarce and appealing cover. Scott 48.

Large part Value Declared cover to BREMEN (part of reverse and side flaps missing), bearing Azores 1887 500r. red violet (Scott 64 = $110) and Ponta Delgada 1892 20r. grey lavender and 200r. blue on blue all tied by PONTA DELGADA datestamps. Orange Value Declared label and reverse with fine ESTAFETA DE CAMBIO-MADRID (June 12) and Bremen arrival cds alongside. A rare and interesting piece.
