✉ TAHITI. Ce. 51. 1892 (Jan). Cover at Military Concession rate franked by Dubois 1881 15c. blue (fault) tied by bold octagonal CORR. D'ARMEES-PAPEETE in black with repeated strike alongside. Military cachet at right and reverse with arrival cds's (Feb 24). Some faults to edge of envelope but rare.

✉ TAHITI. Yv. 12 (2) + 24 (3). 1893. PAPEETE to NOUMEA. 15 cts. blue pair and strip of three of two different issues with PAPEETE/TAHITI cancel. The envelope is somewat reduced at right due to roungh opening, the stamps are in perfect condition. Cert. S. SISMONDO.

✉ TAHITI. 1894. Envelope to San Francisco bearing 25 c black (pair) (Yvert 15) tied by PAPEETE TAITI double ring with official cahet ETABLISSEMENT FRANCAISE DE OCEANIE/DIRRECTION DE L'INTERIOR 1ST BUREAU in violet on reverse. Very fine.

✉ TAHITI. Ce. 18+20. 1894 (Sept. 6). Newspaper wrapper mailed to PAPEETE (Tahiti) franked solely by Type Sage 1c. black on azure, underpaid and struck with triangular "T" mark at right. Taxed on arrival with imperforate 1893 Postage Due 5c. pale blue and 15c. pale green tied by PAPEETE cds's. Rare.

Unstamped envelope from Papeete cancelled by PAPEETE TAITI 31 DEC 95 double ring addressed to Tipaerui with TAX handstamp and French General Colonies postage dues 5 c blue (Yvert 18) and 15 c pale green (Yvert 20) applied and tied on arrival by PAPEETE TAITI datestamp. Fine and rare item of postage due mail.

✉ TAHITI. 1899 (Aug 26). Cover from TAIOHAE to RAROTONGA (Cook Islands) franked by 1892 25c. black on rose tied by two strikes of scarce TAIOHAE - TAITI cds's in violet. Black COOK ISLANDS-RAROTONGA arrival cds at left (Sept 16) and reverse with Papeete transit (Sept 1) cds. Adhesive creased but a rare cover. Ceres 8.

✉ TAHITI. 1899. Cover with contens, datalined HIKUERU small island (only 5,11 km2) located 700 km. east of Tahiti send with 10 cts. black and blue stamp (defects in origen) to TAIOHAE cancelled on arrival. A very rare cover probably the earliest known sent from this remote location of the French Polinesia.

✉ POLINESIA FRANCESA. 1902 (July 24). Postcard (View of Papeete) written from UTUROA franked on reverse with 1892 10c. black on lilac tied by UTUROA-RAIATEA/TAHITI datestamp with perfect strike below. Extremely rare. Ceres 5.

Cover to USA endorsed at upper left with "Avira Raiatea, Society Islands", bearing 1892 5c. green on greenish and 20c. red on green tied by rare UTOROA RAIATEA/TAHITI datestamps. Cover front from St.Benoit to France franked by France 1862 5x10c bistre, one cancelled by superb strike of ´REUNION-ST.BENOIT´ cds in black, with red octagonal Suez at right and handstruck ´6´ decimes due on delivery. Despite small faults a remarkable and rare item. Scott 25.
