Calais entry marking on front (July 28) and Heidelberg arrival on reverse. A scarce issue on letter. Ceres 2.

Este fechador de línea (nº 3) solo fue utilizado en un viaje, a la ida en el Paquebot "Amerique" (9-Enero) y a la vuelta en el paquebot "Ville de Marseille" (22-Febr.) (Ver Salles nº 1406/3). Rarísima, dos o tres conocidas.

Colourful and attractive item.

Obverse with oval framed italic LE GOUVERNEUR DE LA GUYANE FRANCAISE cachet in black. An unusual and early entire.

Framed "R"at left and reverse with rare octagonal LIGNE A-PAQ. FR. No. 1 Paquebot datestamp (Oct 9) in black and arrivals (Oct 24). Opens well for Exhibit display, a rare cover.

✉ GUAYANA FRANCESA. 1883 (Dec 1). Outer letter sheet sent registered from CAYENNE to ROUEN franked by 1881 Dubois 25c. bistre on yellow (2, one with small corner fault) tied by CAYENNE despatch cds. Circular LIGNE C-PAQ. FR. No. 1 cds at left (Dec 3) and trans-shipped with octagonal LIGNE A-PAQ. FR. No.1 in black (Dec 10). Slight ageing but a remarkable and rare cover. Ceres 53.

Entire letter from PONDICHERY to MARSEILLE franked by General Issues 1872-77 Ceres 5c. green on greenish and 30c. brown tied by nead INDE-PONDICHERY cds in black. Red Brindisi Ambulant on front (Oct. 9). Slight tear in address panel but an attractive and scarce usage.

No. 6 in black (Salles 1924). Arrival cds of St. Maur Des Fosses (May 6) on reverse. Ceres 10,12,17-19.

Supposed originated from SAIGON and posted on ship to SINGAPORE. Very rare usage of this maritime cds cancelling stamps.
