Taxed in Burma with T/C/10 mark and in arrival with F.M.S. 4 cents. green stamp. The cover is redirected to KARAIKUDI (India) taxed on arrival with FOREIGN POSTAGE/ONE ANNA mark. Rare double postage due.

✉ BIRMANIA. 1940. RANGOON to KUALA LUMPUR (Malaya). Envelope franked with 6 pies blue and 1 anna brown, taxed on arrival with M.P.U. 1 cto. lilac (2) and 4 cts. green stamps. Censored in Rangoon.

✉ CANADA. 1853 (July 9). Cover to BELLEVILLE, Canada West franked by imperforate 1851 6 d. violet grey cancelled, but not tied by, concentric ring obliterator in black. MONTREAL red cds of despatch below and BELLEVILLE arrival in blue on reverse. A rare stamp on letter. Scott 2b.

✉ CANADA. 1857 (January 12). MONTREAL to FRANCE. Endorsed "Per Steamer 14 January" via British Mail. Mark of exchange GB/3F 02 (Salles 3043). Extremely rare only in use in 1847. Two or three covers known.

✉ CANADA. 1862 (May 22). Registered cover to SHARON via Toronto, bearing perf 1859 1 c. rose pair and Beaver 5 c. vermilion vertical pair tied by MONTREAL duplexes. Straight line REGISTERED handstamp above and reverse with SHARON arrival cds. Faults on the 1 c. adhesives but a scarce franking. Scott 14, 15.

✉ CANADA. 1864 (Feb 29). Leap year day cover to Kingston franked by 1859 1c. rose (5, one with small perf. fault) all tied by Montreal duplexes. Kingston arrival on reverse. Scott 14.

✉ CANADA. Sg. 42. 1864. TORONTO to GLASCOW (Scotland). Letter sheet franked with 17 cents. blue stamp. VERY FINE.

✉ CANADA. Ed. . 1867. ´A93´ S.S. JAVA (Cunard). Partly clear numeral in oval on Great Britain 1 p. red tied by gum staining on pink cover to BRIGHTON, England, concessionary rate with proper endorsement ´From William Lintott, Steward, HMS Phoebe, Halifax´ Brighton backstamp (Oct. 19,1867), edges frayed and torn, backflap removed - modest restoration could significantly improve appearance- Fine and extremely rare ´A93´ mail boat numeral on a seaman´s concessionary rate cover, carried on the S.S. Java on her 16th. transatlantic round trip.

✉ CANADA. 1872 (Dec 21). Cover to Philadelphia franked by pair of Small Queen 1868-90 3c. brown-red tied by dotted cork cancellations in black with Ottawa cds of dispatch below. Reverse with Philadelphia arrival cds. A fresh and fine cover.

✉ CANADA. Ed. . 1896. Cover franked with 10 c. Small Queen (Sc 45), prepaying the double UPU letter rate to AUSTRIA. Stamp tied by MONTREAL-CANADA Flag Cancel, and reverse shows LONDON transit and WIEN arrival datestamps. A beautiful and scarce Flag Cancel cover.

Nº 10 datestamp in blue (Salles 1933) routed via Brindisi with French entry cachet and LEIDEN arrival on front. Very fine item of paquebot mail with this unrecorded maritime cachet in blue.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1811 (Jan 24). Entire letter to London addressed to General Alex Hoper in London, mailed on 'H.M.S. Topaz' and landed at Portsmouth with very fine strike of oval framed “SHIP-LETTER-Crown-PORTSMOUTH” in black on front panel. Charged 2/8d. to London + 2d. to Ship's Captain.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1821 (March 22). GRIBALTAR to FRANCE. ECIJA ROUTE during the Cholera Epidemic in Cádiz. Entire letter with ANDALUCIA/ALTA y EZIXA/FRANQUEADA marks and desinfection cuts.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1825. GIBRALTAR a GÉNOVA. Marcas D. GIBA/S. ROQUE y S. ROQUE/FRANCA circulada por tierra vía Bayonne y Chambery.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1826. GIBRALTAR a GÉNOVA (Italia). Marcas D. GIBA/S. ROQUE y S. ROQUE/FRANCA circulada por tierra vía Perpignan y Niza.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1834. GIBRALTAR to MALTA. Entire letter with black GIBRALTAR/PAID struck in error and so with "PAID" crossed through. Charged "6" on arrival. VERY RARE, this is the sole recorded erroneous used of the PAID mark in this period.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1851 (Nov 29). Entire letter to Genoa with superb strike of three line dated 'GIBRALTAR/SHIP LETTER' in blue (Day before Month in date, Type I) on despatch with manuscript '8' (pence) prepaid in red for double rate. Red 'Via/Di Mare/(E)' applied on arrival and manuscript charge of “30” centesemi to pay.
