✉ BRASIL. 1878 (Oct. 6). PERNAMBUCO to RECIFE and redirected to PARIS. Envelope (opened for display) of 100 reis paying the domestic rate but it should have paid 260 reis (single rate to Europe to the Bern Convention) and T mark was placed to indicate the underpayment. The envelope remained in Paris Poste Restante and several indications INCOUNNU A L'APPEL and NON RECLAMEE were placed on the cover. Charged 25 cts. on arrival. VERY RARE, the only 100 reis Postal Stationery envelope known to overseas.
