Entire letter carried by the British ship "Huron" en route to Reunion via Cape of Good Hope, disembarked at Cape Town and transfered to an american packet. SHIP LETTER/CAPE OF GOOD HOPE crowned mark, charged 70 cents, four times the basic rate plus 2 cts. ship fee. Red NEW YORK cds. and SHIP postmark. A most EXTRAORDINARY route and a very early usage of the Cape postmark. Col. Ex-Comelli.

✉ BRASIL. 1809 (June 4). RÍO DE JANEIRO to LONDON. Entire letter, charged 2/- corrected to "5", carried by the packet "Elisa".

✉ BRASIL. 1813 (Nov. 15). BUENOS AIRES to RÍO DE JANEIRO. Entire letter sent "by the British Ship" H.M.S. "Hermes" with red BUENOS AYRES and FRANCA marks. Fine and VERY RARE, only three covers known with those marks from Buenos Aires.

✉ BRASIL. 1825 (March 3). RÍO DE JANEIRO to LISBON. Entire letter sent via Falmouth carried by British packet, charged 2/- 7d on arrival at Falmouth. Forwarding Agent redispatched the letter to Lisbon, charged 350 reis on arrival. BRAZIL/F Falmouth green mark applied on reverse.

✉ BRASIL. 1851 (June). RÍO DE JANEIRO to BERLIN (Germany). Folded letter sent via the B.P.O. of RÍO DE JANEIRO via London and Aachen.

✉ BRASIL. 1854 (Nov. 30). RÍO GRANDE to SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE (Canary Islands). Entire letter carried by the British ship "Severn". PAID AT RIO DE JANEIRO mark and rated 1/-. Charged 8 reales on arrival.

✉ BRASIL. 1854 (Dec. 15). SANTOS to COPENHAGEN. Entire letter sent via the B.P.O. in Río de Janeiro, carried by the ship "La Plata", charged 23 groschen and 84 ore. On reverse green SOUTH.AMERN/LIVERPOOL/PACKET. Only six recorded on covers from Brazil.

✉ BRASIL. 1855 (Feb. 28). RÍO NEGRO to PRUSSIA. Entire letter sent via Curitiba. CORREIO GERAL DO PARANA cds. Inland double rate of 120 reis paid in cash (Postal Agent "Rezende" wrote he was running out of stamps). Carried by the RMSP ship "Great Western" to UK where 1/- 4d was debited to Prussia and "17" slg. Postage Due at destination. VERY RARE, unique mark of Curitiba.

✉ BRASIL. 1855 (February 28). RÍO NEGRO to PRUSSIA. Envelope franked with pair of 60 reis stamp paying the inland rate to Río de Janeiro. Carried to England by the British ship "Great Western", charged 1/- 4d in England and "17" grs. at destination. A VERY RARE cover, unfortunately a large part of the back of the envelope is missing.

✉ BRASIL. 1856 (June 6). JAGOARAO to FULIGNO (Roman States, Italy). Folded letter franked with 180 reis stamp, sent via England and France with COLONIES/ART.18 accountancy mark and rated "38". Some paper faults and three flaps missing but a VERY RARE franking. Only two covers known franked with a 180 reis stamp via the British mail. Ex. Santos.

✉ BRASIL. 1857 (August). RÍO DE JANEIRO to BUENOS AYRES. Entire letter carried by the British ship "Camilla". PAID AT RIO DE JANEIRO crown mark and rated 1/-.

✉ BRASIL. 1858 (Feb. 25). RÍO GRANDE to CÁDIZ (Spain). Entire letter sent via B.P.O. at Río de Janeiro and Lisbon. Charged 240 reis on arrival and forwarded privately to Cádiz.

✉ BRASIL. 1860 (January 7). RÍO DE JANEIRO to COPENHAGEN. Entire letter carried by the RMSP ship "Avon" to Southampton, charged 2/- and 163 sk on arrival.

✉ BRASIL. 1863 (August 6). RÍO DE JANEIRO to BUENOS AYRES. Entire letter, blue PAID AT RIO DE JANEIRO crown mark and rated 1/-. Fine and RARE in this colour.

✉ BRASIL. 1863 (Oct. 28). CAMPINAS to CORK (Ireland). Entire letter franked with British 1sh stamp tied by C83 in the B.P.O. at Río de Janeiro. Fine.

✉ BRASIL. 1863 (June 8). RÍO DE JANEIRO to GRAN CANARIA (Canary Islands). Envelope carried by the British ship "Paraná" to Lisbon and overland to Badajoz (Spain) where it received ADMON DE CAMBIO/4 RS/BADAJOZ cds. Overland to Cádiz and by sea to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Interesting and rare route.

✉ BRASIL. 1870 (Nov. 2). ELBERFELD (Germany) to SANTOS. Entire letter sent via England, rated 113/4 groschen to London and charged 240 reis on arrival.

✉ BRASIL. 1872 (April 23). RÍO DE JANEIRO to LONDON. Envelope franked with six British 4d stamps (2 shillings rate) cancelled by Río de Janeiro B.P.O. C83. At arrival it was readdressed and the British "R" in a crowned circle was placed. RARE franking.

✉ BRASIL. 1874 (Feb. 26). LONDON to RÍO DE JANEIRO. Entire letter franked with two 6d. stamps. On arrival charged 240 reis.

✉ BRASIL. 1853 (August 18). BAHIA to CADIZ. Entire letter carried to TENERIFE (Canary Islands) by RMSC ship "Great Wester". Blue PAID/AT/BAHIA mark and rated 1/-. In Tenerife charged 10 reales and forwarded to Cadiz. Fine and VERY RARE, only two covers known with this mark in blue. Col. Ex-Comelli.
