✉ HOLANDA. 1869 (April 29). Cover from Amsterdam to St. Petersburg/Russia bearing 1867 5c. blue and two 10c. carmine, red Amsterdam despatch cds at left. Blue crayon 'Wfr 2' and red crayon '3' rate credits on front; reverse with 'Emmerich/Offenhausen' transit. An unusual destination. Scott 7,8.

✉ HOLANDA. Ed. . 1869 (Aug 29). Entire letter from NIJMEGEN franked by single 1867 5 c. bright ultramarine tied by red NIJMEGEN numeral 82 with corresponding cds alongside in same colour. The stamp just touched by light filing crease. Dr Albert Louis photo certificate. Scott 7. Michel 7.

✉ HOLANDA. Ed. . 1874. Cover franked with 5 c. blue and 20 c. green (Sc 23, 28), prepaying the 25 Dutch cents (10 c. US) closed mail letter rate under the US-Dutch Convention. Stamps cancelled by 8 numeral lozenge, and tied by red NEW YORK/PAID ALL arrival cds. Front shows straightline OOSTERBEEK handstamp plus ARNHEM cds. A very scarce transatlantic cover.

✉ HOLANDA. 1881 (Aug 8). Registered cover from SCHIEDAM to QUITTAH (GOLD COAST); franked by 1872-88 10c. carmine and 12½c. grey (2) tied by dotted '95' numeral. Mailed via London (Aug 9) and Liverpool, arriving in Quittah (Sept 6), addressee not found and letter returned via Liverpool and London (Oct 16) to Schiedam. Reverse with full illustration of Melcher's Schnapps Factory in violet. A most unusual cover to an extraordinary destination. Scott 25,26.
