✉ GIBRALTAR. 1844 (May 15). Entire letter from GIBRALTAR To COPENHAGEN, struck with three line E. GIB-S. ROQUE-ANDA BAXA in red, thence via St. Jean de Luz (May 23) and Paris to Thurn & Taxis P.O. in HAMBURG (May 31). A fine and scarce entire.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1848 (May 29). Entire letter from Campo Mento carried on the 'Ripon' under Captain Moresby, to Basingstoke with Gibraltar despatch cds in black and good strike of two line 'GIBRALTAR/ SHIP LETTER' in black. Charged “8d.” due on receipt with Basingstoke arrival (May 29) in blue. Interesting content regarding Provisions “to be sent addressed to the Admiralty Office, Southampton and they must not be addressed to Mr. Creswell (Gibraltar's Postmaster) at all”.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1848 (July 2). Entire letter to Chudleigh, Devon carried on the 'Euxine' under Captain Wilson, with Gibraltar despatch cds in black and fine strike of two line 'GIBRALTAR/ SHIP LETTER' in black. Charged “8d”. due on receipt with Chudleigh arrival (July 11) on front and London transit on reverse.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1851 (June 9). Outer letter sheet to Alnwick, Northumberland with fine strike of three line dated 'GIBRALTAR/9 JU 9 1851/ SHIP LETTER' struck in blue (Day, Month, Day, Year, Type III). Red manuscript '8' denoting single rate of 8d. prepaid, reverse with framed 'Liverpool/Ship' (June 17) and arrival cds. Displays well.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1851 (Nov 29). Entire letter to Genoa with superb strike of three line dated 'GIBRALTAR/SHIP LETTER' in blue (Day before Month in date, Type I) on despatch with manuscript '8' (pence) prepaid in red for double rate. Red 'Via/Di Mare/(E)' applied on arrival and manuscript charge of “30” centesemi to pay.

✉ GIBRALTAR. Ed. . 1851(April 25). Entire letter to Genoa, prepaid 4d in red manuscript, with superb strike of three line dated GIBRALTAR-SHIP LETTER handstamp in blue, red ´Via Di Mare(E)´ applied on arrival and charged 15c due. Superb quality and very scarce thus.

Cover to HUDDERSFIELD franked initially with Great Britain 1d. lilac cancelled in manuscript (with "T" mark below also deleted) and 1886 ½d. dull green and 1d. rose-red tied by Gibraltar-A26 duplex instead. Reverse with Huddersfield arrival cds (Dec 3). A scarce and interesting first issue cover. SG 1,2.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1895 (Feb. 21). Great Britain ½d. + ½d. brown Postal Stationery reply card up-rated with ½d. vermilion tied by CHESTER squared circle, used to GIBRALTAR with reply partly paid by further GB ½d. vermilion on reverse tied by GIBRALTAR-A26 duplex in combination with 1889-95 10cs. rose tied by GIBRALTAR-SOUTH DISTRICT cds (Feb 27) with manuscript annotation "Noted ½ Stamp returned of no value as Postage in Gib". Scarce and most unusual usage.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1897 (Nov 26). Cover to MANCHESTER franked by Spanish currency 1896 20c. olive green & brown tied by "A26" obliterator with unaccepted diagonally bisected 10c. carmine-therefore taxed with "T" mark on despatch and on arrival with "1d./FB/C" in black. Manchester cds on reverse (Dec 1). A scarce cover. SG 23,24.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1897 (July 26). Colour postcard (view of Gibraltar) to ZURICH, franked by 1889-95 10cs. rose, posted in Teneriffe and struck with "0" marking in violet (unaccepted) and struck with circular "T" and "10" alongside. Circular SOUTHAMPTON SHIP LETTER datestamp of transit (July 24) and taxed on arrival; with Postage Due 20c. tied by ZURICH cds. A fine and unusual card.

✉ GIBRALTAR. 1898. Envelope to BELGIUM bearing 20 centimos olive (SG 25) tied by GIBRALTAR A26 duplex, underpaid with TAX handstamp andb Belgian postage due 10 cent. brown (Yvert 4), applied and tied on arrival by BRUXELLES datestamp. A very scarce stamp on cover in exhibition quality.

Cover to London ex the 'Midshipman Long' correspondence at double rate with two strikes of Axim cds of despatch in black; endorsed "Paid" in red and with blue crayon "6" pence credit to G.P.O. and "8" (total including the Gold Coast 2d.). 'Paid / Liverpool / Br. Packet' cds in red (June 12) on front and London arrival on reverse. Listed in Sacher, a scarce usage.

Large part cover to London carried on the "Lualaba" at 4 ounce rate, marked with manuscript "2sh." credit to G.P.O. and "8d." credit to the Colony, with "PAID AT CAPE COAST CASTLE" cds in red and 'Paid / Liverpool / Br. Packet' cds in red (April 12) on front and London arrival on reverse. Listed in Sacher. Ex collection Ashanti.

Registered cover to London at quadruple rate (1sh. 4d. for 2 ounces + 2d. registration) ex 'Midshipman Long' correspondence with manuscript "Paid" in red and notation of "1/6d." in blue crayon (total charge) and "1/1d." (Credit to G.P.O., with 5d. to the Colony), two Axim cds's in black. Liverpool and London June 2 registered arrival datestamps also on obverse of fine and rare cover, one of only three recorded by Sacher, page 197.
