✉ NEPAL. 1884 (Nov.). KATHMANDU to MOTIHARE (India). 1/2 anna green indian envelope cancelled with NEPAL datestamp. VERY RARE only three covers known with this datestamp used as cancellation.

✉ NEPAL. 1892 (July 26). KATHMANDU to NEW YORK, via MARSEILLE. The provisional cars were used only during 1892/1893, from the time of reduction of the foreign postal rate (from 1 1/2 annas to 1 anna), to the issue of the definitive 1 anna card. This is the only provisional 1 anna card recorded from NEPAL. It is the earliest known postal item from Nepal to the United States. Small faults. Ex HELLRIGL.

✉ NEPAL. 1908 (Sept.). BARDIYA (Nepal) to KATHMANDU. Nepal/India combination cover routed via Jamnaha and Raxaul (India). The fact that the Nepalese 1 anna stamp was not cancelled would indicate that this letter was carried by private courrier to the nearest Indian P.O., Jamnaha: at the time, there were no facilities for the exchange of mails between the post offices located near the India/Nepal border. VERY RARE and probably unique combination franking classic NEPAL/INDIA. Ex C. HELLRIGL.

✉ NEPAL. 1923 (15-4). KATHMANDU to BOMBAY and redirected to MAHABLESWAR, franked with two 2annas SERVICE india stamps. Sent registered.

✉ NEPAL. 1927 (10-8). KATHMANDU to GANGTOK SIKKIM an redirected to YATUNG (Tíbet), franked with 1/2a. on 1 1/2a. and 2a. lilac SERVICE indian stamps. Sent registered.

✉ NEPAL. 1931 (August). ACHHAM RIDIKOT to DOTI. Registered cover weighing 6 tola correctly franked with 4 pice green, 8 pice red and a pair of 16 pice violet. The cancellation and the franking are EXTREMELY RARE.

** NEPAL. 1907. 2 pice brown and 16 pice deep violet with Perkins, Bacon SPECIMEN overp. 4 and 8 pice not known. Believed to be UNIQUE.

NEPAL. 1907 (June). Perkins, Bacon Die Proof of the 2 pice denomination, in black (instead of brown), on glazed card. This is the earliest State of the Die.

NEPAL. 1907 (July). Perkins, Bacon Die Proof of the 2 pice denomination, in green (instead of brown), on glazed card. This is the final State of the Die, following several minor corrections to the design.

NEPAL. 1930 (January). Perkins and Bacon DIE PROOF of the stamp for the 5 rupees. Center only in black. VERY RARE.

✉ NEPAL. 1909 (Nov.). BANKE to KATHMANDU. Registered and A.R. cover addressed to the Maharaja of Nepal, Chandra Shamsher. Mixed franking with a 1 anna (= 4 pice) classic issue, imperforate, recut frame variety, and a strip of three 8 pice stamps of the issue of 1907. Only wight covers are known with mixed frankings of classic and Shri Pashupati issues.

✉ NEPAL. 1926 (Nov.). AMLEKHGANJ to KATHMANDU. Registered cover franked with four 2 pice and four 4 pice. The only cover known with this franking. The AMLEKHGANJ Type I cancellation is EXTREMELY RARE.

✉ NEPAL. 1925 (Feb.). BIRGANJ to the Maharaja's SAWARI CAMP. Registered cover franked with a pair of 2 pice, 8 pice and 16 pice. RARE tricolor franking.

✉ NEPAL. 1909 (January). Cover from BUTWAL to KATHMANDU bearing a 4 pice obliterated with the old cancellation of the classic period.

✉ NEPAL. 1910 (Nov.). TATAPANI to KATHMANDU. Bearing 4 pice stamp cancelled with the postmaster's seal of TATAPANI, Type II. Only three covers are known with Shri Pashupati issues cancelled with this seal.

✉ NEPAL. 1921 (Jan.). ANARMANI. 4 pice green cancelled with hand dated postmark. This cover bears the only strike known of an ANARMANI postal marking prior to the 1970s. It is believed that this P.O. was opened around 1920 and then closed after a relatively short period, to be re-opened only some 40 to 50 years later.

✉ NEPAL. 1908 (Oct.). JUMLA to KATHMANDU. Bearing two 4 pice stamps, addressed to the Maharaja of Nepal, Chandra Shamsher. Double-weight rate.

✉ NEPAL. 1910 (August). DHANKUTA to KATHMANDU. Registered cover franked with six 4 pice green stamps, addressed to the Commander-in-Chief of Nepal, Bhim Shamsher, and bearing a registration label (Type 1, State 2). RARE.

✉ NEPAL. 1919 (January). KALAIYA to KATHMANDU. Registered cover with six 4 pice stamps cancelled with the large postal seal of KALAIYA.

✉ NEPAL. Mi. 22 (7). 1909 (April). RIDI to KATHMANDU. Registered and A.R. addressed to the Maharaja of Nepal, Chandra Shamsher. Franked with seven 4 pice stamps, cancelled with the old negative postmark of RIDI. As usual only one of the strikes is hand-dated.

✉ NEPAL. 1924 (July). DHANKUTA to KATHMANDU. Registered double-weight (2 tolas) cover addressed to the Maharaja of Nepal, Chandra Shamsher and bearing seven 4 pice.

✉ NEPAL. 1911 (March). TAULIHAWA to KATHMANDU. Registered and A.R. double-weight cover franked with eight stamps 4 pice green cancelled with hand dated postmark of TAULIHAWA, bearing the only known example of a hand made adhesive registration label of Nepal. Usual faults but a EXTREMELY RARE cover.

✉ NEPAL. 1931 (Nov.). CHAINPUR to KATHMANDU. Registered triple-weight cover addressed to the Maharaja of Nepal, Bhim Shamsher. Franked with block of eight 4 pice stamps, cancelled with the hand dated postmark of CHAINPUR.

✉ NEPAL. 1923 (August). DHANKUTA to KATHMANDU. Registered 4 tola weight cover bearing nine 4 pice stamps, the highest known 4 pice franking of the 1907 issue. Ex W. Hellrig.

✉ NEPAL. 1925 (Jan.). CHAUTARA to KATHMANDU. Triple rate cover franked with a 4 pice and an 8 pice. The 12 pice rate is EXTREMELY RARE. The cover did contain two rupee coins.

✉ NEPAL. Mi. 22, 23 (3). 1923 (August). SALYAN to KATHMANDU. Registered double-weight cover franked with 4 pice green and strip of three 8 pice red.

✉ NEPAL. 1925 (March). KALAIYA to KATHMANDU. 4 pice and four 8 pice stamps, triple weight (3 tolas). Registered and A.R. cover, stamps cancelled with the postal seal of KALAIYA.

✉ NEPAL. Mi. 22 (2), 23 (2). 1912 (Feb.). JALESWAR to KATHMANDU. Registered cloth cover franked with two 4 pice and two 8 pice. It is addressed to the Maharaja.

✉ NEPAL. 1908 (Dec.). BIRGANJ to KATHMANDU. Double weight cloth cover franked with 8 pice red cancelled with the hand dated postmark of BIRGANJ.

✉ NEPAL. 1909 (August). BANKE to KATHMANDU. Double-weight cloth cover franked with 8 pice red cancelled with the hand dated postmark of BANKE. Cloth covers invariably denotes that they contained one or more rupee coins, as a sign of respect to the addressee, usually a high dignitary.

✉ NEPAL. 1923 (Oct.). RIDI to KATHMANDU. Registered cover franked with a strip of three 8 pice, pale red.
