Cover ex the Bianchi correspondence from VENICE to SCUTARI (Albania) endorsed "via Trieste", franked on despatch by Italy 1863/65 60c. pale mauve tied by 196 dotted numeral obliterator with VENEZIA cds. alongside (Feb. 20). Erroneously marked P.D. and this deleted in red crayon and correct P.P. applied in black. Charged with Turkey 1868/72 irregular perf. Postage Due 1pi. brown and Postage 20pa. green on arrival tied by all arabic SCUTARI circular handstamp in blue (Coles & Walker fig. 3). Side flaps missing but a scarce and attractive cover. Signed A. Diena.

✉ ARGENTINA. 1872. SANTA FE a SUIZA. 5 cts. rojo, manuscrito "Vía Inglaterra" aunque en realidad circuló vía Bélgica, transito OUTRE MER/PAR ANVERS y llegada al dorso. Muy RARO uso de la vía Belga.

✉ ARGENTINA. 1874-75. Dos cartas circuladas de BUENOS AIRES a MADRID con sello de 5 cts. naranja vía Lisboa, uno con fechador MARÍTIMO FRANCÉS. Las dos fueron tasadas a la llegada con 4 reales.

✉ ARGENTINA. 1875. BUENOS AIRES a GÉNOVA (Italia). Circulada con sello argentino de 10 cts. verde y sellos británicos de 1 p. rojo, 3 p. rosa y 1 sh. verde. Excepcional combinación de franqueo, normalmente las cartas dirigidas a Italia van por el correo francés, esta es la primera que vemos con sellos británicos. PRECIOSA.

✉ AUSTRIA. 1856 (February). Insufficiently prepaid letter, franked with 3kr. red and two 9kr. blue Coat of Arms issue (Sc. 3, 5), all tied by GORZ datestamps. Front shows two red oval BOLLO/INSUFFICIENTE handstamps, red VIA DI CHIASSO transit, two red AUTRICHE/BAU FR DE BALE French entry markins, plus 20 decime postage due handstamp. A scarce and interesting first issue cover. (Sc. 3, 5).

✉ LEVANTE: CORREO AUSTRIACO. 1869 (Sept 18). Cover to Genoa from Smirne franked at 28 soldi rate with 1867 3s green and 25s violet tied by Smirne thimble datestamp in black. Framed ´Piroscafi-Postali-Italiani´ above and Genoa arrival on reverse. Slight faults round perforations but a scarce franking. Ex Rothschild collection. Scott 2,6.

Colección en hojas de álbum con descripciones, consta de 20 cartas con 3 PAID/AT/RIO DE JANEIRO, varios encaminadores, diversas tarifas y rutas. Conjunto muy interesante, la correspondiencia entre Brasil y España es muy escasa en todo el siglo XIX.

✉ BRASIL. 1862 (May 8). Cover with complete original contents, to MAURITIUS with British P. O. RIO DE JANEIRO datestamp in black of despatch on reverse, mailed via Southampton and London (red cds con reverse (June 3)) and franked on despatch with 1857 1d. rose red in a block of six all cancelled with MANUSCRIPT PEN STROKES. Thence sent on to Mauritius with split rate 4 1/2 arrival in red on front and reverse with Mauritius arrival (July 25) in blue. An exceptional and VERY RARE cover. Certificate BPA (2010).

EXTRAORDINARIAMENTE RARA, sólo 2 cartas conocidas con este popular y RARO matasello, utilizado solamente en la ciudad de Formiga (en portugués FORMIGA, en inglés ANT, en francés FOURMI). Ex. Col. Scarce and very fine usage.

✉ BULGARIA. 1898. SOPHIA to FRANCE. Postcard franked by 1 st. lilac (2), 5 sh. green (perf. 11 1/2) and 3 st. orange (1882 Lion issue). Fine mixed franking of two issues.

Indicación manuscrita "POO-TOO (Chusan) 20 JUIN 77" (Monasterio de la isla de Chusan). RARISIMA, probablemente única conocida con este origen.
