Grey stationery envelope used to FRANKFURT and up-rated with additional 1883-90 2 1/2 c. and 1892 10 c. orange brown tied by SOERABAJA squared circle datestamps in black. WELTVREDEN transit and on arrival, found open and resealed by three blue wafer seals at the FRANKFURT PO. Attractive and unusual cover.

Rear with LONDON and BRIGHTON cds. Rare military cover from PANAMA.

Fine strike of ´New York/Due 5 Cents´ duplex of arrival (Oct 8) in black. A scarce and very attractive cover. BPA certificate (1990).

London / Paid arrival cds on front (May 31) in red. Some envelope faults but scarce.

✉ PERU. 1858 (Aug 6). Large part entire letter to France franked by 1858 1d. deep blue with four margins and tied by black datestamp. British P.O. ´Arica´ double arc cds alongside, reverse with London (Oct 15) transit cds in red and struck there with ´GB/2F 87½´ Accountancy marking in black. Montpellier arrival cds on reverse. A fine early usage. SG 3b.
