Entire letter from WASHINGTON DC- the "Second Bulletin Sanitaire" concerning and epidemic in Charleston SC, addressed to the Public Health Officer in MARSEILLE, with manuscript "French Consulate General-Post Paid" and "via New York, Havre Packet". Struck with Washington cds (Sept 11), straight line PAID and two line COLONIES PAR-LE HAVRE with all markings in red. A fine entire.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1838 (October 20th). NEW YORK to LONDON.PIONEER STEAMER "Royal William". Wrapper carried on the second of her voyages. LIVERPOOL/SHIP LETTER on back.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1847 (June 13). Entire letter to MONTPETER (Vermont) franked by fine four margined 1847 5c. deep brown on bluish paper, cancelled solely by two strikes of straight line PAID in red. WOODSTOCK despatch cds in red at left. A scarce usage. Ex collection Krug. Scott 1.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1848 (6 Mayo). LAWRENCEVILLE (Georgia, USA) to US ship "Ohio" Pacific Scuadron in Callao. Envelope with full contents, carried by ship "Julia". Red oval forwarding agent stamp FORWARDED BY J.H. JOHNSON and manuscript "Callao" (Perú).

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1857. NEW ORLEANS to DENMARK. 5c. red brown. Used with 10c. green Ty. III and 3c. dull red three 3 c. singles, margins to in, tied by NEW ORLEANS LA. May 19, 1857 circular datestamps on blue folded letter to Copenhagen, Denmark, magenta "24" credit, red boxed P.D. handstamp, NEW YORK and HAMBURG backstamp, presumably and additional 3c stamp is missing which made up the 27c rate via French Mails, still appears Fine, rare usage, one of only two recorded usages of the 5c. 1856 issue to Denmark, the other cover pays the 35c. rate via Prussian Closed Mail, unpublished Census No. 12-COV-335, ex Hugh J. Baker. (Sc 12,15,11).

Cover from PHILADELPHIA to WASHINGTON DC., franked by Blood's Penny Post (1c.) black on white paper tied by BLOOD'S PENNY POST / JUN 17-11 A.M.-PHILAD alongside 1857-61 3c. dull red tied by grid cancellation with Philadelphia cds at right (June 17). The envelope with small faults but a scarce combination usage.

Envelope franked with 1 ctvo. blue double vertical perforation error, two 3 cts. rose and 12 cts. black, tied by blue segment cork cancel and by chicago double circle datestamp, AMERICA/UBER BREMEN/FRANCO three-line handstamp, transit and arrival cds on reverse. Very fine and attractive franking paying 19 cts. Bremen-Hamburg Mail rate to Switzerland and VERY RARE with 1 ctvo. ERROR.

Franked by 1861-62 3 c. rose and rare usage of 30 c. orange tied by black 'C' cork cancels with cds of despatch alongside. Red '28' and 'N. York Br. Pkt./Paid' (English share of rate) and London/Paid transit. Flap partly missing, a rare cover. Ex Scott Gallagher collection. Scott 65,71.

Entire letter from NEW YORK to CADIZ (Spain) endorsed per steamer 'Cuba' at 24 cents rate franked by vertical pair of Washington 1867 12c. black (with grill) tied by cork cancels in black. London transit cds in red (June 27) on reverse and London obliterator '5' over-striking the erroneous London/Paid cds on front. Taxed on arrival in Cadiz with '8' Reales due handstamp in red. A rare and fine pair on a scarce cover.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sa. 165, 161, 156. 1870. NEW YORK to LIMA. 1 ctvo. blue (left margin scissors cut) 10 cts. brown (2) and 30 cts. back tied by New York duplex. Endorsed "via Acapulco y Panama". On back peruvian due stamps 10 cts. orange and 20 cts. blue (added to the letter with a break). A VERY RARE triple-rate combination franking USA + PREU.

Cover and complete origina1 contents from New York to Paris franked by scarce usage of top marginal vertical pair of 1870 2c red brown tied by cork cancels and by Calais entry marking. Fine strike of ´GB-40c´ Anglo-French Accountancy marking in black and charged 5 decimes due on receipt. London transit on reverse (July 30) in red. Scott 146. Cert. PF´2002.

NEW YORK/24 datestamp of despatch (March 8) in red and reverse with Cadiz cds. A splendid and SCARCE three colour franking.

No 1 in black (Salles 1036) Triangular Accountancy marking F/29 (Van Der Linden 1162) applied in Paris in transit (Sept 18) and oval +/GIUBIASCO TESSIN arrival on reverse. Ex. Roberts.

Charged 25 decimes in manuscript on delivery. Fine and most unusual routing.

✉ VENEZUELA. 1851 (8 Mayo). LA GUAYRA (Venezuela) a S. SEBASTIÁN (España). Marca YNDIAS en rojo de Vigo, estampación doble. Tres cortes de desinfección realizados en el Lazareto de San Simón en Vigo. RARA en una carta procedente de Venezuela.
