✉ EGIPTO. Sg. 14. 1871 (Aug. 16). Cover from CONSTANTINOPLE to SMYRNE franked at double rate with 1867 1pi. red horizontal pair tied by V.R. POSTE EGIZIANE - COSTANTINOPOLI datestamp in black with repeated strike at lower left. Reverse with same type SMIRNE arrival cds (Aug 18). A rare and attractive usage.

✉ EGIPTO. Sg. 15a. 1872 (Oct. 22). Cover to WINTERTHUR (Switzerland) endorsed "via Brindisi" franked by Italy 1863 60c. bright mauve applied for onward transmission, tied by dotted numeral 234 in black with ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO / POSTE ITALIANE cds alongside. Reverse with Milan transit and Winterthur arrival cds (28/10). Scarce and most attractive cover.

Printed Matter rate entire letter, some minor file folds, mailed from Credit Lyonnais in ALEXANDRIA to PADOVA (Italy) franked at reduced rate with Italian Levant 1874 Estero 5c. greenish grey tied by circular barred 234 numeral obliterator in black. ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO / POSTE ITALIANE cds alongside and private framed VIA BRINDISI in green at left. Padova arrival cds (July 25) on reverse of a generally fine and rare entire.

✉ EGIPTO. 1891 (June 4). Germany 10pf. carmine postal stationery card written on board ship in SUEZ CANAL to DELI (Sumatra). Cancelled by DEUTSCHE SEEPOST-OSTASIATISCHE-HAUPTLINIE cds, and then carried by French Paquebot to Singapore and struck by octagonal LIGNE N-PAQ.FR.Nº10 datestamp. N.I.AGENT SINGAPORE cds at left (June 23) and Medan and Bindje cds's of receipt (June 27). A rare and unusual usage.

✉ EGIPTO. Yv. 16, 26, 46b, 75 (3). 1894. Registered envelope to ALEXANDRIA bearing Napoleon 40 c. orange (slim cut), 2 c. brown, 20 c. blue and Type Sage Yvert 75, 5 c. green (strip of 3) tied by ALEXANDRIE EGYPTE double ring with boxed hand-struck registered. Used late, but an interesting combination. Stamps and envelope with minor stains.

✉ EGIPTO. Ce. T25. 1895. Cover sent stampless to ALEXANDRIA at double weight (mss. '2 ports' at left), taxed on arrival in Alexandria by France Postage Due 50c. lilac pair (one defective on application (Dec 25). Cover then sent to PORT SAID (Dec 30) and eventually sent back to ANNONAY where rare Postage Due 1fr. brown-claret was applied and tied by (March 22, 1896). Extremely rare stamp on letter.

✉ ETIOPIA. Sg. 130+135. 1908 (Feb 10). Cover addressed (probably from) and to F. Michel in OLTEN (Switzerland) (Michel was a Postmaster in Addis Abeba), bearing surcharged March 1908 1pi. on ½g. red (Type II) and Nov 1908 1pi. on 1g. blue tied by ADIS ABEBA datestamp in black. Marginal piece with imprint 8 piastres similarly tied below and Bern cds on reverse. Flap missing but scarce.
