Correspondencia compuesta por 57 cartas criculadas desde Jerusalem y Jaffa circuladas por el correo privado de los frailes Franciscanos desde Tierra Santa hasta España vía Malta, Nápoles, Roma, Génova y Marsella. La gran mayoría no tienen marcas postales ya que estaban transportadas a mano fuera del correo oficial, varias de ellas están desinfectadas. El conjunto de cartas está dirigido al Comisario General de Tierra Santa en el convento de San Francisco el Grande en Madrid. EXCEPCIONAL CONJUNTO. Correspondence of the Franciscan friars of the Holy Land to Spain, with 57 covers mailed from Jerusalem or Jaffa, all privately carried through the network of the Franciscan order, all to Spain via Malta, Naples, Rome, Genova and Marseille to San Francisco el Grande en Madrid. The large majority with no postal markings due to the private method of carriage, some showing evidence of disinfection. An extremely rare and historic correspondence.
