Envelope registered to WOLVERHAMPTON, bearing 1875 6 d. orange (2) and 1876-79 1 d. blue (4), all cancelled with 556 in OVAL OF BARS, showing red crayon "10", framed REGISTERED with red crayon "fee 4 d." alongside, PAID-AT-CAPE-COAST-CASTLE cds. (26.10), PAID/LIVERPOOL/BR. PACKET ds. (28.11) with arrival cds. (29.11) on reverse. A small cover with the stamps previously folded over the top edge, subsequently opened out for display. Rare and remarkable franking, one of four recorded first issue covers and the unique REGISTERED and unique mixed first and second issue franking. Ex. Robson Lowe.
