En 1966 los 50 Céntimos cambiaron su diseño de homenaje a la Marina Española de Carlos Mingo por uno más reconocible en la estética del Estado. Un anverso de busto diseñado por Juan de Ávalos y un reverso sobrio con el valor y la espiga se mantienen hasta 1975, configurando una tipología de amplia circulación. La singularidad de este ejemplar reside no solo en su fabricación en oro, metal jamás empleado oficialmente para esta denominación, sino también en su carácter de prueba de presentación, presumiblemente entregada al entorno directo de la Jefatura del Estado. Hasta la fecha no se tiene constancia pública de otro ejemplar, ni en colecciones privadas, ni en archivos numismáticos, ni en referencias bibliográficas especializadas sobre el monetario del Estado Español del siglo XX. In 1966 the 50 Céntimos changed their design from Carlos Mingo's tribute to the Spanish Navy to one more recognisable within the State's aesthetic. A bust obverse designed by Juan de Ávalos and a sober reverse featuring the value and the wheat ear remained in use until 1975, forming a widely circulated typology. The uniqueness of this specimen lies not only in its production in gold, a metal never officially used for this denomination, but also in its nature as a presentation trial, presumably delivered to the direct circle of the Head of State. To date, there is no public record of another specimen, neither in private collections, numismatic archives, nor in specialised bibliographic references on the coinage of the Spanish State in the 20th century. Las 50 Pesetas de 1957 constituyen una de las piezas fundamentales de la reconfiguración monetaria del Estado Español de posguerra, enmarcadas en el proceso de estabilización económica iniciado a finales de los años cincuenta. El anverso, obra de Mariano Benlliure, presenta un retrato de fuerte carácter escultórico, de clara inspiración clásica. El reverso, de composición sobria, destaca el lenguaje simbólico institucional de la época. Su diseño pretende dotar de uniformidad estética al sistema monetario y reforzar la iconografía oficial del régimen.
