LIMA a GENOVA. 1 dinero verde y 20 cts. castaño, mat. fechador de Lima en azul, circulada por el correo inglés, marca de intercambio GB/1F 90 c. a la llegada tasada con sellos italianos de 1 Lira y 2 Liras (3). Excepcional franqueo mixto de dos emisiones. Sobre abierto para exposición. RARÍSIMA. Ex col. Imperato.

✉ PERU. 1873. CALLAO a ROMA. Circulado sin sellos tasada a la llegada con sellos italianos de 60 cts. y 1 Lira bloque de cuatro. Circulada en el vapor "Santiago" hasta Panamá y a continuación en el "Tagus". Raro franqueo especialmente con un bloque de cuatro de 1 Lira (Sassone 15.000Ђ). Cert. E. DIENA.

Cover to RICHMOND, MAINE, USA bearing combination franking of Peru 5 c. pair and Great Britain 1873-80 1/- plate 13, each tied by different cork cancels, at left OPERA GLASSES New York Due 5 CENTS datestamp, reverse with unclear CALLAO cds, fine and attractive. A very rare use of a GB stamp with peruvian cancel.

✉ PORTUGAL. 1586 (Dec 13). Entire letter from Lisbon to London, ex Corsini Archive, endorsed (in different hand and translated) at base "Bill of Lading for the Ship Stella and Vidala". The cargo was cloth and brocade sent under a Merchants sign, with the letter mentioning that a journey from London to Lisbon via Plymouth took six weeks + a week's overland journey. A fascinating and early entire.

✉ 1762 (6-Oct.). GUERRA DE LOS SIETE AÑOS. Carta enviada al Marqués de Langeron, Mariscal de Campo de Louis XV narrando los combates contra las tropas portuguesas en Villa Velha de Rodao, fechada en ´Au Camp de Sarzedas´ (cerca de Castelo Branco). Marca ARMEE D´ESPAGNE y porte manuscrito de 24 sous. Extraordinariamente rara.

Cover from MADEIRA to LE HAVRE struck with fine FUNCHAL despatch cds in black, via London (Nov 28) where framed GB/2F Anglo-French accountancy marking applied in black. Rated with handstruck 10 decimes on arrival. Rare accountancy mark used on cover originated in Madeira.
