Large part entire letter from SMYRNA to PARIS, endorsed at upper left "Malte" in manuscript, with reverse showing italic "Purifié de Marseille" in black and somewhat toasted for disinfection. Marseille transit cds (Jan. 6, 1838) on front and rated 10 decimes handstruck on arrival.

Liverpool transit (Aug 12) also on front of an attractive cover.

Fron WARRI (sender¦s endorsement at lower left) to WOLVERHAMPTON, franked by 1894 2 1/2 d. pale blue, perf 13 1/2-14, tied by two strikes of squared circle in red, with ¦PAID LIVERPOOL BR. PACKET¦ transit cds in red at lower left. On reverse, futher strike of despatch squared circle and arrival cds (NO 3 97). The centre of the Warri cancels only legible as albino impressions (as often!), most attractive.
