Old famous piece, today is questioned its authenticity, the stamps are genuine but the Grampara cancel is fake. Ex. Benavides and Alemany.

Large margins all around with marginal rule at the bottom, used on fragment with 1846 180 reis inclinado just clear/touched at right otherwise good margins tied together by DOUBLE CIRCLE cds. in red. Exhibited for many years in the most famous brasilian collections, today is questioned its authenticity. Ex. Ward, Carvalho, Santos and Alemany.

✉ BRASIL. Sc. 1a, 3a. 1845. Letter sheet to VIANNA DO CASTELLO (Portugal). On the reverse with 30 reis and 90 reis both intermediate to fine impression and both with large margins with the 90 reis showing both marginal rule and interpanneau rule at the top, used with a central framed VALENCA cancel, two PORTO cancels in blue. Old famous cover but the stamps did not originate on this cover. Ex. Benavides and Alemany.

Undated cover with side flaps only sent to PORTO ALEGRE with 60 reis fine impression in very black shade, good to large margins with marginal rule at the left side by two small straight line PARA (PARATI) cancels.
