Cover with mixed issue franking of 10 c. black on lilac (slight fault at top) and Dubois 1881 15 c. blue, tied by Nouméa c.d.s. in black with another, fine strike alongside and red "MODANE A PARIS" c.d.s. (9.11) on front, arrival on reverse. A rare usage. Ceres 40, 51.

✉ REUNION. Ce. 4. 1867 (Feb 19). Cover to FRANCE via SUEZ, franked at Military Concession rate with 1859-65 Eagle 20 c. blue cancelled by blue dotted lozenge with octagonal CORR. D'ARMÉES/ST. DENIS in blue with civilian circular datestamp alongside of the same day. Reverse with oval LE COMMANDANT D'ARTILLERIE, P. VOIGNARD cachet and four French datestamp of arrival (March 17). A rare and appealing cover. Certificate ROUMET (2012).

Small envelope to CHALONS SUR SAONE (France) bearing Military oncession franking of Eagle 1859-65 10c. bistre vertical pair tied by dotted lozenge in blue and by red "PD"; superb circular REUNION-ST.DENIS cds alongside. Fine impression of rare octagonal CORR. D'ARMEES-ST.DENIS in black (Nov 20) on obverse with reverse showing REUNION-REVUES Military cachet in blue and arrival cds (Dec18). A splendid and rare cover.

Manuscript AFFRANCHISEMENT INSUFFISANT at top (apparently ignored) and fine octagonal LIGNE J-PAQ. FR. No. 2 datestamp in blue (June 23) below. Charge box on reverse with five red wax seals.

Faint blue octagonal PAQUEBOTat left and reverse with Bordeaux arrival cds (Nov 27). A scarce and fine franking, with only 2000 stamps issued. Ceres 6.

✉ TAHITI. 1822 (Aug 22). Very early entire letter to London from Emeo (Moorea Islands) with framed 'DEAL - SHIP LETTER' in black on front and London (Jan 5) arrival cds on reverse. Manuscript rated "1/4d." to pay including 1d. for local re-addressing. A very fine and extremely early entire, journey time 137 days.

✉ TAHITI. 1837 (Nov 28). Entire letter to London from the missionary George Platt at Raiatea Island with framed 'INDIA LETTER - LONDON' on reverse in red (July 16) and London cds of arrival. Manuscript rate '8' deleted and charged 1sh. 4d. due. A scarce entire, journey time 231 days.

✉ TAHITI. 1887 (April 13). Registered cover to Bordeaux franked by General Issues 1881 25c. black on rose and 1fr. olive green tied by fine 'Papeete/Taiti' cds's with framed 'R' alongside. Bordeaux arrival (June 4) on reverse of a fine and scarce cover. Certificate Behr, Sismondo. Ceres 54,59. Scott 54,59.

Cover at concessionary Soldier's Rate, endorsed from 'Amanu' (Tuamoto Archipelago) to a sailor on board ship on the Mediterranean Squadron; franked by 1893 overprinted 15c. blue tied by octagonal 'CORR. D'ARMEES-PAPEETE' in black with repeated strike alongside and Naval Detachment cachet in blue. Reverse with Marseille and Ajaccio (Corsica) cds's (May 4). Extremely rare, the only recorded example of a 19th Century usage from Amanu. Certificate SISMONDO. Ceres 24. Scott 22.

✉ ALEMANIA. 1734 (22 Abril). GUERRA DE SUCESIÓN DE POLONIA. Carta fechada "Au Camp de Kayserlautern" a AIX (Francia). Marca manuscrita "Ar. de Noailles". El Mariscal de Noailles contactó junto a Berwick en la Campaña de Alemania y tomó el mando de las tropas francesas al morir Berwick en el sitio de Philippsborg. RARÍSIMA y desconocida hasta la fecha.

✉ ALEMANIA. 1853. FRANKFURT a TURIN (Italia). Con etiqueta de Tasa Italiana de 45 cents. + 20 cents = 65 cents y fechador de VERBANO. RARA.

✉ ALEMANIA. 1873. Tiny envelope + original letter to London franked vertical pair 1gr. large shield, cancelled Berlin datestamp. Obverse also bears boxed “Jnsufficiently/prepaid” (with a 'J') + circular-framed “More to Pay” and red crayon '2', altered to '3½' in manuscript. Full Sommer certificate. Very fine.

✉ ALEMANIA. 1873 (Sept 15). Cover to Lucerne, Switzerland franked by 1872 Large Shield 7 kr. blue tied by neat Heidelberg cds. Mailed to the Poste Restante in Lucerne the cover was marked with ´Non Réclamé´ handstamp and in manuscript: ´Aus Heidelberg 15/9, In Luzern 16/9, Returned to Heidelberg 14/2´. Rare and appealing cover. Sommer certificate. Michel 26.

Stamp tied by framed FRANKFURT A.M. datestamp, and front shows red PD handstamp, plus blue ALLEMAGNE/ERQ. PARIS entry. Reverse bears PARIS A HAVRE ambulant plus LE HAVRE arrival datestamps. A very fine and scarce cover, with 1991 SOMMER certificate.
