Emisión de origen privado conmemorativa de la CONFERENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE ALGECIRAS, matasellada en Berlín. MUY RARO CIRCULADO.

✉ CAROLINAS. 1912 (Jan 4). Printed cover from Angaur, Palau, Caroline Islands to Korror addressed to Winkler, head of the Palau Station, with PALAU cds in black (Jan 1) of arrival (date had not been altered) and franked by German New Guinea Kaiser Yacht 10pf. carmine tied by manuscript 'Seepost K.D.S. Komet 4 Jan. 1912' . The 'Komet' was the Government Steamer sent from R. Peybach to Winkler, the head of the Palau Station. Signed Grobe. Certificate Steuer.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1840. KINBLETHMONT to PERTH and redirected. Complete letter sheet franked with 1d. black. Complete to large margins. FINE.

✉ AUSTRALIA. 1840 (Nov. 3). 1d. black, lettered DI, four huge margins and showing portions of adjoining stamps on three sides, used on 1840 outer letter sheet from SYDNEY (New South Wales) endorsed 'G.S.Evans' at left and addressed to the Chief Commissioner of Crown Lands in LONDON, further endorsed at top 'Sydney, Nov 3, 1840', tied by black Maltese Cross with straight line 'BISHOPSGATE WITHIN' Receiving House handstamp alongside in black. Reverse flaps endorsed 'per J. Ward Esq., Secretary to the New Zealand Company' and 'Nov. 9th, 1840' and London arrival datestamp (April 12, 1841) in red. On the inside of the cover manuscript 'Copy of an Official Return / Government Sales at Melbourne, Port Philip. Average Price (for) Country Land - per Acre £1.7s.6d / Town Land per acre £317.9s.0d.' with the full account reaching £312'700, 10s. and 7d. A truly remarkable Penny Black cover carried by hand from Sydney and mailed on arrival in London. Note: John Ward was Secretary of the contentious New Zealand Co. (1839-1850, dissolved 1858) which sold lands in the new Colonies and started the settlements of Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth, Otago and Canterbury none of which immediately thrived; unfortunately for the NZC shareholders some of the lands sold in New Zealand were found not to belong to the Company and disputes with the Maori began almost immediately.

° VICTORIA. 1850-57. Lot of 7 stamps and two pairs, diverse printings. All fine to very fine with complete to large margins.

✉ BERMUDAS. 1880. Registered cover to SOUTHAMPTON with Bermuda 6 d. mauve canc. duplex "2" and cds ST. GEORGES DE 22 80 along side in combination with Great Britain 6 d. grey (pl. 17) paying the registration fee canc. oblit. "723" in arrival. Single line REGISTERED and oval REGISTERED LONDON 8 JA 1881. Backstamped SOUTHAMPTON JA 8 81. The cover is roughly opened with a small tear on Bermuda stamp. A very spectacular and only recorded Great Britain-Bermuda mixed franking. Ex. E. Proud collection. Cert. B.P.A.

✉ HONDURAS BRITANICA. Sg. 43+43b. 1892. BELICE to NEW ORLEANS. Envelope franked with 6 on 10 cents. on 4 pence mauve, one with "6" INVERTED. A very rare cover, a maximum of six copies of this variety exist. (S.G. 6.500£ off cover). Ex. Hart and Matheson.

✉ HONDURAS BRITANICA. Sg. 43. 1895. BELIZE to GERMANY. Letter card franked with six stamps of "6" on 10 cents. on 4 pence mauve. Light some faults.

✉ CANADA. 1812 (June 3). Entire letter written from QUEBEC to OPORTO, originally endorsed "p. Vine" and changed to "p. John"; struck in transit with straight line LISBOA in black and handstruck "40" (reis) charge mark. Extremely rare and fine entire.

✉ CANADA. 1825 (Aug 16). Entire letter dateline from MAISONNETTE (New Brunswick) struck on the reverse with italic NEWTON ABBOT/PENNY POST in black, prepaid 2/6d. in red ink and charged in manuscript on front in reis "560+70=630" due. Oval Lisbon arrival in black (28/8) also on front of fine entire. Rare destination at this time.

✉ CANADA. 1897. CANADA to LONDON. 5 cents grey redirected to SWITZERLAND with Great Britain 2 1/2 d. stamp.

✉ CABO DE BUENA ESPERANZA. 1800-1830. Four letters (one front) with diverse Prephilatelic marks.

✉ GRENADA: GRENADINAS. Ed. . 1858 (Sept 25). Entire letter to LONDON franked by Great Britain 1856 6 d. lilac tied by bold strike of A15 Grenada obliterator in black with LONDON red arrival cds (Oct 15) on reverse. Scarce entire. SG Z4.

✉ INDIA INGLESA. Ed. . 1857 (Jan 8). Long entire letter from MADRAS endorsed ´Per Steamer via Marseilles´ with double arc cds of despatch; mailed as Consignee´s letter via Ship´s Captain to LONDON and via Forwarding Agents in the Strand, franked on arrival with GB 1 d. red tied by LONDON duplex to Regent Street. Unusual usage and an appealing entire.

✉ INDIA INGLESA. 1874. TELLICHERRY (India, Malabar Coast) a BORDEAUX. 1/2 an. azul y 8 an. rosa (4). Reexpedida a PARÍS con sellos de Francia de 15 cts. bistre (2) y 30 cts. castaño. Magnífica y muy rara combinación de franqueo.

✉ JAMAICA. 1749 (27 May). SAINT LUCIA IN JAMAICA to RHODE ISLAND (North America). Complete letter with full text, endorsed "p. favr. of a friend / Mr. Thos.Williams / Q.D.C." RARE early letter to U.S.A. from Jamaica.

✉ JOHORE. Sg. 9, 10, 21, 25, 26, 28 and S.S. 87. 1896 (March 13). BAHRU (Johore, Malaya) to GERMANY. Envelope franked with 2 cents rose (2), 1 cent, 3 cents on 4 cents, 5 cents and 6 cents Johore stamps, tied by double-ring JOHORE / BAHRU mixed with Straits Sttlements 30 on 32 cents. orange, tied by SINGAPORE cds, showing Johore Bahru registration in red. On reverse Singapore transit and arrival. Little soiled but a spectacular and RARE mixed franking.

✉ JORDANIA. 1925. Picture postcard to France bearing Palestine SG 1, 1 mill brown; 1 ransjordan SG 125, 1/8 p chestnut and SG 126, 1/4 p green tied by AMMAN datestamp in violet. Very rare combination .

✉ MALASIA. 1629 (Jan. 2). MALACCA to AVEIRO (Portugal). Entire letter with complete text, on front manuscript ´Da Sta. Casa de Mia (Misericordia) de Malaca´ . OUTSTANDING, one of the earliest known covers circulated in these remote territories under Portuguese Authority in those years. EXTREMELY RARE maritime mail from Asia in the XVII Century. Signed A. Bolaffi.

✉ MAURICIO. 1806 (April 6). Entire letter from 'Ile de France' to Rennes, France landed in Spain with red straight line 'Vizcaya'; two line 'Espagne/Par Bayonne' in black and reverse with Rennes arrival in black. A rare entire from Mauritius and a most unusual route through Spain to France.

✉ NIGERIA. 1887 (28 April). LAGOS to GERMANY, marked "Lagos 28/4. 87" at left and bearing Germany 1880-87, 20 pf. ultramarine cancelled with superb boxed AUS/WESTAFRIKA h.s. (Type G4), the reverse with NEUDIETENDORF arrival c.d.s. (6.6). Rare cover.

✉ NIGERIA. 1939. KUMBO (Camerún) a BERLÍN. Tarjeta Postal circulada vía Nigeria con sello de 1 1/2d. castaño y Guinea Española con sellos de 5 cts. y 40 cts. usados en Fernando Poo. Marca de Censura Militar de Fernando Poo.

✉ OIL RIVER. 1893. OLD CALABAR to GERMANY. 2 pence blue registered envelope uprated with 5d. and 1 sh. stamps. FINE.

✉ SARAWAK. Ed. . 1898. Registered cover franked with 2 c., 3 c., 5 c., 8 c., 10 c., 25 c. and 50 c. bi-colored issue (SG 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 18, 20), along with 4 c. black (SG 29), prepaying the letter rate plus Registered fee to HONG KONG. Stamps cancelled by SARAWAK cds, and front shows additional scarce SARAWAK/R Registry handstamp. Reverse bears SINGAPORE transit and HONG KONG arrival datestamps. A scarce and colorful Registered cover.

✉ TRINIDAD. Sc. Gi 76. 1881 (April 6). Cover to PARIS franked by 1876 4 d. bluish grey tied by TRINIDAD cds, with octagonal cachet d'escale TRINITE/PAQ. FR. C Nº1 in black (Salles 1532a). Transhipped at Fort de France to the LAFAYETTE with reverse showing octagonal LIGNE A/PAQ. FR. Nº1 (Salles 1403/1) in black: both strikes are very fine. Manuscript on reverse "Vente Gilbert 1935". Rare and fine cover.

✉ TURKS AND CAICOS. Sg. 53, 59, 71, 72. 1897. TURKS to BERNE (Switzerland). 1/2 d., 4 d., 5 d. and 6 p. stamps send registered, arrival on reverse. Fine franking.

✉ ZANZIBAR. 1930. KAMPALA (Uganda) a ZANZIBAR. 1 cto. castaño tasado a la llegada con sello 21 CENTS/POSTAGE DUE y reexpedida al origen. Rara combinación de franqueo.

✉ GRECIA. 1867. FIVE COLOUR FRANKING consisting of 20 l. deep dark blue, good margins, used in combination with 1 l. red-brown, 2 l., 5 l. and two 80 l. (nº 19f+15c+16c+17b+22b), all tied by ATHENS cds ib 1867 folded entire from MARSEILLE to ATHENS (bs 27 Apr. 1867). File fold through stamps.

✉ GRECIA. Ed. Vl.53,54a,56c. 1874. PATRAS a TRIESTE. 5 l., 10 l. y 40 l. rojo violeta (Mi. 39,40,42e). Magnífico franqueo tricolor en carta al exterior.

✉ GRECIA. 1875. Carta de LONDON a PATRAS. Sellos de G.B. 1 p., 2 1/2 p. y 4 p. (SG. 94, 139, 182) tasada a la llegada con sellos de Grecia de 5 l. y 40 l. verde (Sc. J3, J6). Franqueo mixto con la rara tarifa inglesa a Grecia de 6 1/2 p. (válida sólo de 1.7 a 31.12.75). Franqueo mixto y uno de los usos más tempranos de los sellos de tasa.

✉ CRETA. 1419. CANDIA (Creta) a ALEXANDRÍA (Egipto). Carta completa con texto. Sello de cierre al dorso. Carta frágil y con manchas de humedad. MUY INTERESANTE carta circulada en el siglo XV.

✉ GUATEMALA. Sc. 18. 1881 (Aug. 20). Cover, somewhat tired and with minor corner fault at upper left, used to BRISTOL franked by provisional sucharge 5 c. on 1/2 r. yellow green, slight stain, cancelled by blue fancy handstamp (Goodman CF46) with octogonal CORREOS-GUATEMALA datestamp in violet at left. Reverse with Bristol arrival cds (Sept 26). An extremely rare issue on letter, this rate is only valid from August 1st until October 8th 1881. Cert. CALVES (1976) and FRIEDL (1976).
