✉ ANGOLA. Ed. . 1863 (March 4). Outer letter sheet from LOANDA to LISBON with handstamp ´40´ in black struck in error as the 40 r. rate was altered to 50 reis in September 1861 and further handstamped with fine framed CORREIO CENTRAL DE LOANDA in black with further rate mark ´50´ (large type) above. LISBON arrival (23 April) on reverse in black. Some internal repair to cover but very scarce.

✉ ANGOLA. 1888. QUIFANGONDO a USA. Sobre del CAMINHO DE FERRO TRANSAFRICANO con el texto completo circulada con dos sellos de 25 reis lila. Muy rara circulada desde este remoto lugar.

✉ ANGOLA. 1896 (March 13). Cover sent to Breslau from Loanda, underpaid and found to be double rate (22 grams in manuscript) bearing Germany 1889 10pf. carmine pair tied by oval dated 'Deutsche Seepost/Linie/Hamburg-Westafrika/XI' in black. Further strike at left and manuscript charge '40pf' due double the deficiency. A scarce and appealing cover. Scott 48.

✉ PORTUGAL: AZORES. 1875. Cover to London franked by overprinted 1870 120 reis blue, faults, tied by '42' numeral handstamp in black with Angra Do Heroismo cds alongside (May 28). On arrival in London Instructional handstamp 'Not Fully Addressed/EC' applied in black. A scarce cover. Scott 29.

✉ PORTUGAL: AZORES. Sc. 4, 11. 1894 (June). Large part Value Declared cover to BREMEN (part of reverse and side flaps missing), bearing Azores 1887 500r. red violet (Scott 64 = $110) and Ponta Delgada 1892 20r. grey lavender and 200r. blue on blue all tied by PONTA DELGADA datestamps. Orange Value Declared label and reverse with fine ESTAFETA DE CAMBIO-MADRID (June 12) and Bremen arrival cds alongside. A rare and interesting piece.
