✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1891. CLEVELAND (Usa) to THONDHJEM (Norway) and redirected to STOCKHOLM and from there to ST. PETERSBOURG (Rusia). 2 cts. green US. envelope, taxed with norvegian 1 ore (4), 10 ore and 50 ore postage due stamps and Swedish 1 ore, 3 ore and 20 ore (3) postage due stamps, also postage due notations "12k" from Rusia. Oustanding combinate franking. Cert. H. OBERMÜLLER.

Postal stationary card, 1 cent. black (Scott UX10) cancelled by Dayton, Ohio duplex routed via San Francisco addressed to Japan, underpaid with handstruck T CTMS 5, boxed Japanese instructional with Due T.O. manuscript "2" and Japanese koben, 2 sen rose (SG 114) cancelled on arrival by boxed native tax. A rare use of postage due on cover.

USA 2c. pale green newspaper stationery wrapper, up-rated with 1890 2c. red cancelled at New York, taxed on arrival in Brood (Austria) with marginal example of 1890 2kr. yellow green cancelled by Kaunitz thimble datestamp in black. Slight closed tear away from adhesives but scarce and attractive.

Reverse with San Francisco transit (Jan 13) in violet alongside RECEIVED AT NEW YORK P.O./REG DIV. IN BAD CONDITION. Scarce and attractive cover.

Registered envelope of 3ctvos. in ´albino´ (Scott U437 ?) to Berne, Switzerland franked by Jamestown 2c carmine pair, 1915 5c blue and 1919 Victory 3c violet all tied by bold strikes of scarce WAIMEA-HAWAII handstamps in red. Charged on arrival with 1910 Postage Due 50c blue green & red tied by Berne cds. Delightful and scarce cover. Scott 329,403,537/J43.

✉ URUGUAY. 1854 (March 31). Outer letter sheet from MONTEVIDEO to BUENOS AIRES, bearing superb strike on the PAID/AT/MONTEVIDEO crowned circle with matching double arc on reverse, 10 centésimos marking indicating payment of the local postage and 1/- confirming payment of the British packet rate, being carried by the RMSP "Severn". The British post office was supplied a "crowned circle" hanstamp in 1851, for use to denote prepayment of mail carried to a non-British destination. About ten examples of this postmark are recorded on cover, this being probably the finest. SG CC1. Ex H. Rocha and Parmigiani.

Cover from MONTEVIDEO to BORDEAUX with oval ADMON DE CORREOS/MONTEVIDEO despatch, thence by French Paquebot with superb strike of octagonal URUGUAY/CARMEL (Salles 1035) and transhipped to the Guienne with fine strike of rare circular cachet de Ligne (Salles 1003) displaying well on reverse (Sept 24). BRESIL/BORDEAUX arrival (Salles 1042) on front (Oct 17). A rare cover. Ex. collection Dubus.
