Cover from RIO DE JANEIRO endorsed 'per Polygon' sent unpaid to BASEL (Switzerland) via Hamburg, outside the Mails to and struck on front with two line HAMBURG/ 15 APR in black. Reverse with Forwarding Agent manuscript notation 'Hamburg 15/4 1833 E Schincker' and Basel arrival cds (April 23). Various manuscript rates, a fine and scarce cover.

✉ BRASIL. 1836 (11 Nov.). RÍO DE JANEIRO a GRAN BRETAÑA. Marca al dorso BRAZIL/F en color verde estampado en el puerto de FALMOUTH. RARA.

✉ BRASIL. 1841 (30 Marzo). OURO PRETO a RÍO. Marca lineal I.C.DO OURO P. en negro y manuscrito "Pg. 50" y al dorso "Franca Bello", indicando que por no dispopner de sellos de correos en este momento se cobraba el porte en metálico.

✉ BRASIL. 1843 (5 Sept.). POUZO ALTO a RÍO DE JANEIRO. Marca lineal POUZO ALTO y manuscrito "Pagou 90" y al dorso "Pagou 90" y "Montr.", firma del Administrador de Correos de Pouzo Alto que por no disponer aún de los sellos de correos recientemente puestos en circulación (un mes antes), cobró el porte de 90 reis en metálico. MUY RARA.

✉ BRASIL. 1845 (June 23). Entire letter written and signed by Empress Thereza Christina Maria (wife of the Emperor Dom Pedro II) addressed to Cardinal Caxolli. Superb complete wafer seal on reverse of a rare and fine entire.

✉ BRASIL. 1853 (June 11). Entire letter written from Rio de Janeiro addressed to 'Cardeal Giovanni Brunelli' with letter signed by Emperor Dom Pedro II. A rare and fine entire.

✉ BRASIL. 1857 (April 13). Entire letter from RIO DE JANEIRO to GOTHENBURG (Sweden), endorsed 'per Avon'and deleted and re-endorsed 'Via Ostend', with London transit (May 16) and charged '7' sgr. at Aachen in blue. KDOPA and KSPA Hamburg transits in black (May 18) displaying well on reverse of a scarce entire to an unusual destination.
