✉ NEPAL. 1929-36. KATHMANDU. Two local registered covers franked with three and four 1 anna indian stamps. Local mail is RARE, because any correspondence was normally carried by person or entrusted to the native Postal system.

✉ NEPAL. 1931. CALCUTTA to KATHMANDU. An insufficiently prepaid cover to NEPAL bearing a strike of the octagonal NEPAL/UNPAID handstamp. The inland postal rates had been increased from 1 anna to 1 1/4 annas just two days earlier on 15.12.1931.

✉ NEPAL. 1931 (21-12). KATHMANDU to SATNA (India). Large registered envelope sent by the Commanding General Mohun Shamsher (who later became Maharaja and Prime Minister of Nepal) addressed to Col. F.M. Bailey. Franked with ten 3 pice and four 1 anna indian stamps, cancelled NEPAL. Colourful crest appears on the flap.
