Letter to FRANCE franked with 6d. grey brown perf. 12, watermark double line 6 INVERTED, tied by duplex N.S.W.SYDNEY cds. prepaying the single letter weight by French packet to Marseille. Alongside red French AUSTRALIE V.SUEZ/AMB.C cds (Salles 2116). On reverse transits and arrival postmarks. (SG. 143).

Cover franked with pair 1 penny green and pair 6 pence slate (Sc. 67, 68), prepaying the doucle weight letter rate to FRANCE via Southampton, and all tied by numeral 14 BARRED CIRCLE cancels of Avoca. Front shows red circular PD handstamp, red manuscript 8 pence credit, red LONDON/PAID transit, and ANGL/AMB.CALAIS French entry. Reverse bears AVOCA/VICTORIA departure, red Melbourne transit and Bordeaux arrival. Scarce franking on a very fine maritime cover.

Front shows required Officer endorsement, and reverse bears CAMPBELLPUR origin datestamp, plus Bombay transit and red London arrival. Despite minor flaws, a very fine and scarce military rate cover.

✉ INDIA. 1882. MADRAS to SWEDEN. 2 a. blue and 1 a. brown tied by barred "M" Sweden with arrival mark and RETUR with label "NON RECLAME". RARE.

✉ INDIA. 1917. Cover franked with four 3p. grey, 1/2 a. green and 1a. carmine Geroge V issue with I.E.F. overprints (Sc. M34-36), prepaying the military letter rate plus Registry fee to RUSSIA, and all tied by F.P.O./No 32 datestamps. Front shows partial red PASSED BY CENSOR handstamp and purple Russian censor, while reverse bears MOSCOW arrival datestamps. Scarce India Expeditionary Force franking on a very fine letter to a most unusual destination.
