En Colón embarcó en el paquebot "Guadalupe" de la recién creada líena "D" (Marzo 1875). Fechador octogonal COR. D. ARM/LIGNE D. PAQ. FR. Nº1 en rojo. Rarísima, fechador no reseñado por R. Salles que sólo habla de su uso en el 2º período de la linea (1879-1898). Probablemente ÚNICA CONOCIDA.

Cover from MONTEVIDEO to BORDEAUX with oval ADMON DE CORREOS/MONTEVIDEO despatch, thence by French Paquebot with superb strike of octagonal URUGUAY/CARMEL (Salles 1035) and transhipped to the Guienne with fine strike of rare circular cachet de Ligne (Salles 1003) displaying well on reverse (Sept 24). Cover from POINTE A PITRE to LIMA, Perú, franked by Eagle issue 1859-65 2 x 5 c. green, 10 c. bistre, 2 x 20 c. blue, 40 c. vermillon and 80 c. rose all tied by light black dotted lozenge and once in blue; superb strike of Crown PAID AT GUADALUPE in blue alongside, one ot two recorded in this colour, and BRITISH PO cds on reverse charge paid being 1 s 4 d in red manuscript. Cover then went to BRITISH PO'S in ST. THOMAS (APR 12) and PANAMA (APR 23) arriving at Lima on May 2nd. A remarkable five colour franking and exquisite cover. Ex. PANNETIER.

O No 1 in black (Salles 1962a) carried on Paquebot Meinam to Galle, transferred to Mei-Kong of Ligne N with MARSEILLE entry cds on reverse (Aug 9). Despite imperfections, an attractive cover.

Mourning envelope to FRENCH CHINA bearing France Type Sage 25 cent blue (Yvert 97) tied by HEREPLAN double ring routed via Saigon to the French Post and Telegraph Office Long-Xuyen Indo-China with French General Colonies 2 franc marron (Yvert 16), applied on arrival. This cover is the first recorded with the 2 fr used in Indo-China it would have been used as a form of accounting the tax on incoming mail in groups of eight unpaid letters. A superb item.
